Ruff Rules

Franklin our mini Aussiedoodle had the opportunity to board and train with Eva at Ruff Rules for 3 weeks. We were struggling with leash pulling, staying calm in his crate, coming when called and being reactive to other dogs. After 3 weeks of Eva’s consistent training we’ve now got a well trained dog we can take to restaurants, walk in public all without having the constant fear of him acting out. Now the work is up to us to reinforce the training so we continue to have a well mannered pup. Thank you Ruff Rules!!

I cannot express the gratitude I have for Eva and Ruff Rules enough. I brought my 8 month old female French bulldog, Billie for the boarded training. In a home with a baby and a cat, Billie struggled with chewing, chasing and extremely impulsive behavior. I truly needed some guidance and help in getting her on track and trained for success not only for our family, but for her too!! I knew she didn’t like getting in trouble and the stress she caused us and getting her the help she needed was at the top of the list. Well… I am happy to say, we have been home almost a week now and Ms Billie is truly another dog. She listens, is not bouncing off the walls and is minding her P’s and Q’s - and she is happy about it!! Of course I do see her struggle slightly but with a quick, “Leave it” or “Sit or Down” order she listens and follows the instruction! I’m amazed! We have her in place the majority of the day until we get further down the road with training in our home and with our family but I have to say, she seems to like the structure. It has been years since I got a puppy and I was honestly starting to question my decision; not that I would ever stop loving Billie or change my mind… but the struggle was real!!! Ruff Rules was the answer and I couldn’t be happier. They communicated and demonstrated their techniques and trainings DAILY and I felt completely comfortable and a part of the process. I can’t thank Eva enough!!! She took Billie under wing and loved her and treated her like she was her own and turned her in to the loving, obedient, amazing, GORGEOUS, fur baby we knew she could be.

I can’t say enough good things about Eva and Ruff Rules. From day one, the communication was incredible. Eva sent multiple videos every single day showing Rip’s progress, and it was so clear how much she truly cares about the dogs in her care. What really stood out to me is that each trainer at Ruff Rules only works with a couple of dogs at a time, and the dogs stay in their homes — not a facility. You can tell this makes a huge difference in how well the dogs are treated and trained. Even after Rip came home, Eva stayed in close communication with me, checking in to see how he was doing and offering advice anytime I had a question or needed help working through an issue. I’m actually the third person in our family to send a dog to Ruff Rules — we’ve sent a Lab, a Malinos and now a Mutt — and they knew exactly how to work with each one. Different dogs, different personalities, same amazing results. If you’re considering Ruff Rules, I can’t recommend them enough. They’re knowledgeable, caring, professional, and truly invested in the dogs they train.
