Training is simple, but it’s not easy, and that’s why our mission is to give guidance to owners everywhere using a results driven and balanced approach since 2013.
Everything we do begins with foundation training! While introducing your dog to new commands we know the importance of using primarily positive reinforcement to make sure we are creating confidence, focus, motivation and clear communication.
Once you have established your new relationship, we use training collars (e-collars) to test our training in any environment. We find value in applying mental and physical exercise to this process to make sure your dog maintains a relaxed state of mind around distractions. We are about working smarter, not harder!

We dropped off our 6 month old puppy to Jenna for a little over two weeks for boarding and training. The program that Ruff Rules set works.
Sprout is a smart dog and picks things up quickly so we had to refine some of his listening skills and behaviors. We couldn’t have asked for someone better than Jenna. We did a home session before the training program and she was the sweetest and most trustable person we could leave our puppy with. We got daily updates with photos and videos that showed us his progress. Every day we were assured that he was getting the best training possible.
Our puppy has become much more disciplined and it shows that he had the best care and attention while he was in the program. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Our beautiful golden Rosie is a new happy dog! Highly recommend using Ruff Rules! Jenna gave us all the learning tools for success! Rosie is walking perfectly without pulling, listening and content. Our 6 month old black Labrador puppy spent two weeks with Jenna. When she returned to the house after the training she is more eager to learn and please and listen to commands. Jenna was amazing during our training sessions….giving us a lot of guidance and practice and encouragement. I highly recommend Jenna and Ruff Rules.

Our little yeti is now a well trained and calm doggie! We couldn’t take him anywhere before and walking was a challenge because he was so scared of other dogs. Now those activities are fun because the dog and us humans know what to do. We love this training so much that our other dog, who we thought was an angel, is signed up as well. The calmness our Ruff Rules graduate emits now is priceless! Highly recommend!
