Rucker Dog Training

My pup has been home less than 24 hours and Jax and I just finished a 5 mile off leash walk! There are no words to describe how thankful I am to all of the staff at Rucker Dog Training. Outside distractions are very different from board and train, but I felt more confident after our one on one session. I am looking forward to attending advanced training. You guys really do care about the dogs and the owners. Thank you! I told a patient about my Jax's training and he said he took his dog to Rucker Dog Training also and had any equally wonderful experience. You can not make that sort of thing up. Rucker Dog Training is the best out there! I give their name out to anyone and everyone when they say my pup is so well behaved. They bring you into the family immediately and is always looking out for the welfare of your pup. My Australian Shepard, Maverick, loves to attend classes and is so well mannered thanks to RDT. Scott and his team knows plenty about dog training so your pup will always be in the best hands. Because of RDT I am not afraid to allow Maverick to have his off-leash freedom, as long as he’s still listening. Scott’s training style not only works on obedience but also encourages a healthy relationship between the owner and pup.

My dog did 3 weeks of Puppy Head Start followed by In Home Board and Train with RDT. The results I saw were amazing. This training route was truly the best because she has only known the correct way to do things. She is trained on and off leash and has wonderful manners (most of the time). I feel 100% comfortable walking her wherever. RDT has also taught her several tricks, which she loves performing! Everywhere I have taken her, we receive several compliments regarding how well behaved she is. While Mabel is still only 10 months old and very much still a puppy, her training and RDT have made her a joy to be around!

I had a 7 year old, 95 pound mixed breed dog who was dog and leash aggressive. He’d turn into Cujo whenever he saw another dog. He’s knocked me off my feet, literally, trying to get at other dogs. His manners were generally poor. We’d been to two other trainers in the past- one was scared of him. Needless to say, taking him outside was stressful. He’d wear a regular collar, a prong collar and an electric collar whenever we’d take him anywhere, which didn’t happen often because of his reactivity. We took him to Ruckers because my daughter had recently taken her puppy there for puppy training when she lived in Atlanta and the results were impressive. Mind you, their training facility is a 3 1/2 hour drive from me but I needed help and after speaking to them about my dog’s issues, they seemed capable and willing to help. My boy was there for 3 weeks. I was not prepared for the dog I picked up. He heels, comes when called and generally is a much better behaved dog who follows commands. He also appears much more relaxed and confident. I can walk him with a simple slip leash. And there is no pulling, tugging or lunging. He can be in the same area as other dogs, such as at the park, and focus on me, not them. I walked him around Lowe’s and he was an angel. I was absolutely blown away when my daughter and her dog came home for the holidays and the two dogs PLaYED TOGETHER ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, sharing balls, toys, water bowl… He is a happier boy. The staff at Ruckers teaches owners how to handle their dog and how to continue the dog’s progress. They know their stuff. We hope to attend a refresher class soon. I highly recommend them!
