Wow! What a HUGE difference 3wks. with Kellen makes! Our pup (although a very young Great Dane at 5 mo) spent 3 wks. with Kellen and came back with the fundamentals that we needed to build on to ensure we had a well behaved, disciplined dog. Our pup, Brody, was a nightmare on walks prior to his training and now he heels beautifully. He isn't perfect and is still a pup but he understands what "no" means and is much better behaved. Kellen kept up informed with messages and photos/videos each day and spent a good bit of time with us when Brody returned home, ensuring the transition would be a success. We did a lot of research before choosing Ridgeside K9 and it paid off. We highly recommend Kellen, as his experience as a trainer is obvious from the very first interaction. We are very pleased and excited about the foundation Brody received and look forward to continuing the training now that he is home!

I chose Ridgeside based on the fantastic reviews that were posted. It was a solid decision as all the previous reviews were spot on. Kellen was Jax's handler and I couldn't have hand picked a better man for the job. Always kept me updated with pics and progress throughout the 3 week process and answered promptly to any questions that popped up. Jax now has fantastic walking skills along with great door manners which are the 2 things I sought most . It is now my job to keep him that way after the awesome training kellen has instilled in him. The board and train program was life-changing for us. Our dog was struggling to adjust to our new apartment life. He stayed with Kenzi for three weeks and came back a changed boy. Her onboarding session with us insured we knew what needed to be done to keep up with his training and enabled us all to make a great transition. We’ve boarded with her a few times since then for travel and I think that’s helped a ton too. I couldn’t be more pleased/relieved about the training we all received.

Our 10 month old puppy, Pope, is a sweet, typical golden retriever. All energy. Thinks he exists solely to be the center of attention. He’s adorable. But he had all gas and no breaks. Wouldn’t listen to anything we told him. Played too roughly. No impulse control. It got to the point where we couldn’t really enjoy him because he was so hyper and mouthy. I can’t even explain how different that is since he’s been home. He’s still Pope. Or as Kenzie called him “hurricane pope” but now, he listens, respects me, and we can enjoy him so much more. She went out of her way for him with several unexpected circumstances and never lost patience. I knew he would improve but I had no idea how much more enjoyable he would be after training with her. We are so grateful and will recommend her to anyone who is looking to have their dog trained!

We found our boy Hamm dumped in a parking lot with all sorts of scars, he was hungry, and he was scared. We decided that we wanted to give him a real chance at a good life so we made him part of our family. When we started to notice some aggression we knew that the best thing for him was proper training, and that is when we met Kellen. The entire process was great from beginning to end. Its not easy handing over your pet/family to someone else for several weeks, but we knew it was the best thing for Hamm. Kellen was great. he was patient with Hamm and also sent us pictures with updates everyday. Anytime we had questions he would answer with no hesitation. We are very happy with the results and we are so thankful to Kellen and Ridgeside K9 for helping us.
