Ridgeside K9 Tampa

After adopting Chuy from Texas we decided, while we were driving home from picking him up, that we wanted to get him into training. Searching on Google, we came upon Ridgeside K9 and were able to get a consultation quickly. It was recommended we enroll Chuy into the 3 week immersion program and he was paired with Kristin. I seriously think she has a magical connection with Chuy because during that short period of time she helped him to become the best version of himself. Kristin provided regular updates with videos showing us Chuy’s progress and we were seriously over the moon and impressed with how quickly he was catching on to her instructions. This truly put me at ease to not only feel included in his progress but see how happy he was and how much he enjoyed being with Kristin. We weren’t sure how he would be when we did the hand over at the end of the three weeks but it was like no time passed! Ever since we brought him home from training, he has thrived and continues to be the well mannered goofball Kristin helped him to be. I would recommend anyone to bring their fur-kids to Ridgeside K9 and ask for Kristin if she’s available. As you can see - the team is amazing so I’m sure the results would be great with any of the trainers. Also, an added bonus is the option for boarding Chuy with Kristin after training versus having to find a kennel. He spent time with Kristin this past weekend and I took comfort knowing that he was safe and cared for by someone who is not a stranger and truly cares about the Chuy’s ongoing training success and enjoys his company. 😊 (pics courtesy of Kristin during/after training)

After struggling to get my pup to break his bad habits I had no idea where to turn. I had almost given up hope. All of that changed as soon as Brent and his staff had the opportunity to work with him. I am so happy how much things have changed with my pup Cooper since this experience. I would recommend everyone to have Ridgeside K9 work with their pups. Sending pictures and updates on progress also let me know how my little guy was doing.

Kristin at Ridgeside is a-mazing! Our dog, Finn, came back home yesterday after 3 weeks of board and train a completely different dog. He's confident and so much calmer! She sent daily videos and feedback of Finn's progress. She also conducted an extensive turnover when she brought him home to us ensuring we understood commands and how to communicate in Finn's new language. I cannot recommend enough!

It’s been about two months since Auggie has come home from his three-week board and train with Kenzie. Before training, I struggled with Auggie’s focus, especially during distractions. Our weekly training wasn’t getting us anywhere besides “sit” and “down.” He would pull on walks and chase any small creature we would encounter. With him being a rescue, I didn’t know his history but felt I was failing him. When I found Ridgeside K9 and signed up for the board and train, I was afraid Auggie would feel abandoned again, but Kenzie was amazing about sending me daily updates and pictures. During our review session, Kenzie was informative and patient in walking me through Auggie's new training routine. I was so happy to see how much time she spent with him, and she showed me ways to work with his stubbornness. Now, two months later, I feel confident in Auggie's training. I can take him anywhere, and he behaves and listens to my commands. He is able to focus with any distractions around us, he no longer runs out of the house, and he remembers his doorway manners even when I forget. I now have a completely different dog; he’s confident and happy, and his stubborn, goofy attitude is still there.

We could not be happier with Kristin and all she has trained our dog, Montana on. She has been awesome! We have used Ridgeside for puppy and 6 month training. Both have gone extremely smooth for us and our dog. :-) I love the fact they offer overnight boarding, outside of the programs to help "brush up" on anything needed. It is simple training, yet extremely effective. At 8 months old, our labrador is able to go "off leash" and follow simple instruction in public. She has front door manners and no longer jumps on our guests! I would recommend Ridgeside to anyone looking to training!
