Ridgeside K9 Summerville

Our Caesar was stubborn and difficult to handle for over 3 years when we finally broke down and contacted a few different board and train organizations. Ridgeside K9 appeared to be competitively priced and after studying the site we agreed on allowing the Trainer that was suggested to work with Caesar for 3 weeks. CORI arrived right on time and fully equipped with a state of the art Mercedes van that offered individual crates and specialized cooling. She was diligent about explaining every detail of Caesars training along with photos and videos on a daily basis. She took him to various parks and commercial spaces such as Lowe’s and we could tell that Cori also used only top quality products with her choices of ecollar, equipment, and treats. Her approach was methodical and layered with teaching Caesar excellent house manners as well as good choices in public. Though I seriously missed him we knew that he was in good hands and when Cori delivered Caesar 3 weeks later she took pains to spend several hours on our own property to insure that we as parents were properly trained as well! Now in less than a month Caesar does every basic command and is even healing without a leash! He has not lost his ability to guard our property and is still the same sweet and cuddley boy that left home. I will say that we almost went a different direction when making the decision because the owner of Ridgeside K9 had a telephone approach that was not particularly congenial or patient. We were just told to find a google link after she recommended Cori as Caesars trainer. So my suggestion is to ask for your trainers Bio and a direct google link of reviews in advance. After all one can’t ask too many questions when you’re agreeing to give your fur baby up for 3 weeks to a complete stranger! However we decided this whole industry is based around disciplinary training so we took it all in stride and are so glad we found CORI in the process. The bottom line is that Caesars K9 training was worth every penny and we only wish we would have discovered this service and Cori much earlier.

We have a rambunctious young Lab who needed some guidance and behavioral training, and Ridgeville K9 Summerville came highly recommended by a friend. We were thoroughly impressed with the trainers’ resumes and the option to board/train. From the very beginning, Tara did a great job explaining what to expect and matching us with the perfect trainer, Jillian. While our dog stayed with Jillian for training, she made us feel involved every step of the way. She provided daily videos, updates, and explanations of the training techniques being used. She was always quick to answer our questions and provide guidance throughout the process. Our mid-training in-person session was incredibly helpful, and the transition-home session was invaluable in helping our dog apply her new skills in our own environment. One of the things we are most excited about is that the support doesn’t end when training is complete— opportunities to attend monthly meet-ups, schedule refresher training, or board with one of the trainers when we travel. Our dog is a new and improved gal, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We highly recommend Ridgeville K9 Summerville to anyone looking for professional, compassionate, and effective training!

Wow! We dropped off our dog 3 weeks ago and picked up a different dog today…..Shonnah is amazing, our dog listened and did everything she taught him. Every night like clockwork, Shonnah sent us videos of what she was training our dog to do. We got to see the improvement almost right away. It’s up to us to keep the discipline consistent so he behaves the way she taught him. My 9 year old son has full control of our dog, my son is so happy with his buddy!! Shonnah worked with us when we picked up our dog. She was took her time and walked us through everything, we didn’t feel rushed at all. We wouldn’t trust anyone else to train our dog, they are the best! I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed.

We are so happy with Ridgeside K9 and especially Rocky’s trainer, Amanda! We put Rocky through the 2 week board and train and couldn’t be more pleased with the results! Rocky can now successfully walk on a leash along with many other skills including understanding his basic commands! We also appreciated the daily updates and photos and the meet up half way through to see his progress! Overall great experience and couldn’t recommend more!!

Cori is absolutely amazing!! She boarded and trained my 5 month old puppy and brought him back to me as such a cute little gentlemen. He still has his puppy personality (which I love) but now he does so much better with walking, relaxing on his own, and recall. She made sure to text me pictures and videos everyday so I got to see his progress and also because I missed him so much. She watched him during the summer and got up super early with him to train before it got too hot, she bathed him and clipped his nails. After she dropped him off and left, my puppy stared at the door waiting for her to come back, which just shows the care and attention she gave to my little angel. Seriously such a good experience and I would recommend Cori to everyone! Very excited to come back for a group training class <3
