Quichapa Kennels

We have used 3 different training companies for our aggressive goldendoodle. Each company helped a little bit, but it was never truly solved. I didn't want to spend more money on training, but I decided to give it one last shot. I cannot recommend them enough! Jovie is so extremely obedient. The E-collar we purchased has been so effective. Of course, we have been working hard to keep up the training so Jovie doesn't regress. But the training she did receive was well worth the money. All the trainers are so knowledgeable. And they answer any questions I had (and said I could ask any more in the future). The only thing I wish was done different was more updates through the month. I realize that is only because I am an anxious mess and missed my dog so much! They treated her like part of the family and I am so happy I chose to give them a try!

Goose has been home for 3 weeks. Taking him for walks now is a pleasure. No more pulling on the leash, he comes back when called and when I take him places he behaves like a good citizen I could not recommend a better place to have your dog trained. Danny and Dallin are amazing people. They make you feel like you are leaving your dog with a family member or close friend. We are sending our other puppy to them for training when she is old enough.

We have had our boy back 3 days and it’s been night and day. He is still getting used to house rules like garbage, chewing and counters but when we catch him we redirect him quick and he is definitely catching on. It’s just a matter of catching his sneaky self in the act. As far as off leash walking he has totally amazed us!!! We have walked all over. The first day we were a little discouraged but, as usual I think he was just overwhelmed with being back at home. He followed commands but was very concerned about our daughter, like stay, he had a hard time leaving her. But continuing it daily now and also teaching my daughter he’s really on point. His re directions are getting less and less. There is still some adapting but I am so impressed. I have so much more trust in him. He would run off and I would yell for him before just in our yard and he would never come. Now he can be off leash exploring in the woods where we live and I call him and he comes right back. I am comfortable walking the neighborhood with him off leash and he stays by my side. Some little re-directions here and there with random people and animals but nothing concerning. He always just comes back to heal. He is actually showing that his big brain does work. 😂 we actually got a compliment from a guy as well who said he’s a good looking well behaved dog. I thought you live 4 doors down, did you see him a month ago. 😂 definitely recommend this place. Also want to add Tracker had a really bad first night of anxiety and cut a good piece of his paw open. They took exceptional care of him. Gave us the option to wait until it healed and try again, but we decided to give him a couple days. He continued to do well so we kept him there. They took good care of him and it healed great. I tried to add more videos of his sitting and staying for a long period of time but it was too long to post and I only was able to cut one shot and cut the middle out. But he is now doing amazing with it, even with my daughter distracting him.

I cannot talk more highly of Quichapa. Before dropping off my sweet Walter, I had absolutely no control. Life has become so much sweeter since his time with this amazing crew. The previous owners before he ended up homeless and in a shelter for months must have used an e-collar in a horrific way, because when I tried putting one on before boarding, it was the only time I’ve ever seen my dog’s tail between his legs. They have completely reconditioned Walter to loooove his e-collar, in turn loving his new life of freedom. Thanks team
