Simply put, Kim is a wizard! She performs doggie magic! Our pup, Betty White, was two years old when we adopted her in February. She’d been a stray most of her life. Needless to say, she was horrid on a leash, pulling and dragging me along. She didn’t know any basics…sit, stay, etc. She was terrified of everything I spent a great deal of time getting her used to things. After about three months Betty began to relax, but walking on a leash and the other doggie basics were still missing. From Kim’s first lesson, Betty improved a lot. We’ve just finished our course and Betty White is a totally different pup. She heels, stops at streets, sits and waits for other dogs or people to pass by. She has always been a sweet dog, but now she’s a good, happy dog who’s fun to walk with. I can’t thank Kim’s Quality Canines enough! I think very highly of Kim and her expert training! She is like a dog whisperer. My puppy, Tucker and I immediately felt comfortable when Kim came to my house for the first lesson. From that day on, my husband and I were so amazed at how well and quickly Tucker listened to Kim and then me! She gave him the confidence not to be afraid of noises, people, loud motorcycles, etc. we went on field trips to a park, to Home Depot and downtown Crystal Lake to get him used to different situations. Grab a snack; this is a long one! :) When a family friend first referred Kim to us, I can honestly say we were both extremely skeptical of the process. We had taken our extremely anxious, excitable, and rambunctious puppy to many group classes with no improvement and we were truly feeling helpless in being able to modify her behavior. Pumpkin was constantly biting and barking at us, and even randomly attacking us when we took her outside. It was nearly impossible to calm her down any time she saw people or other dogs and it's safe to say we were a little bit terrified and anxious ourselves as this was our first time dealing with a puppy with her amount of energy and spunk. We finally decided that whatever was going on with our crazy girl was not going to be fixed by us alone and we bit the bullet and called Kim. From the first day Kim came into our home, it was clear she had so much confidence in not only herself, but our Pumpkin as well. Kim took initiative to get to know everything about Pumpkin, asking so many questions, and even getting down on the floor at Pumpkin's level so that she could also get to know Kim. Even on that first day, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders because I could see and feel that Kim was someone we could trust with our girl. I won't go into extreme detail about each of our sessions, but I will assure anyone who is considering Kim to train their pups to DO IT. I'll admit that we were intimidated by the price tag of the lessons, but after seeing how much time, care, and energy Kim put in to each lesson to tailor it to our dog specifically, we would pay double what we did because the results have improved not only our lives, but Pumpkin's life as well. Kim emphasizes the fact that dogs are animals and need time and space to be animals, which is something a lot of trainers try to avoid or correct. After we started taking Pumpkin on walks with long leads for her to be able to experience the freedom of exploring and leaning into her instincts, there was a HUGE shift in her behavior. She was more obedient when we took her on regular walks, she stopped attacking us in our yard, she came when we called, and most of all she was visibly happy and content. Kim also took us on outings where Pumpkin got used to being around people and pets without needing to constantly be jumping in their faces and greeting them which was definitely the hardest lesson for Pumpkin. Not only has her behavior in public done a complete 180, but her behavior at home when we have guests has also improved tenfold. I have to say that my favorite thing about Kim is that she truly loved our dog and never came from a place of anger or frustration with her when correcting or training her. We kept Pumpkin out of a class because of how the trainers responded when they got annoyed or overwhelmed by her behavior. Kim was stern and effective without having to use fear as a motivator for Pumpkin, but instead used love, play, and affection as her motivators which is why we got the results we did. I could honestly go on for days about how much Kim changed our lives, but I know most people have probably stopped reading already so I'll wrap this up by simply saying THANK YOU KIM. Thank you for loving and teaching our spunky, crazy, still rambunctious but well trained, respectful, happy, life-loving girl.

We are so grateful for all of Kim’s training for our Golden Retriever. Auggie (our doggie) was food aggressive, thought he was in control/Alpha and not easily trained. Kim had him learning and obeying the minute she walked in. Each lesson Auggie grew in command knowledge and obedience all in a loving and encouraging environment. A once hyperactive, non listener with a bit of an attitude problem transformed into a loving obedient trainable dog that even became trustworthy with an infant (which we were very concerned about prior to Kim). We can’t thank Kim enough for her training and Knowledge. We highly recommend her for any and all dog training needs.
