Kim is simply the best. From the minute she walked in the door for our first lesson, she took our crazy defiant little puppy and immediately had her listening to her every command. All I can say is our minds were blown; she is a dog whisperer. She really understands dogs and how to deal with each of their unique personalities. She has helped us in so many ways and has trained us more than she trained Poppy. On top of that, she is such a great person who takes as much time as you need to truly understand what is required of us to ensure that our dog is successful. Not only does she train the dog in the home, but takes you on many field trips to expose the dog to as many different situations as possible, and shows you everything you need to know to be successful. On top of the personal training, she runs dog parties to socialize the dogs to make sure they are a great overall dog, not just in the home and around people, but with other dogs too. Our 14 week old was a scared little thing at the first dog party and she was so confident that she would be running around being her best self over the next couple of parties. We weren’t sure, but let me tell you, she was 100% correct. Just today our pup was confidently playing with bigger dogs she was scared of a month ago. She absolutely transforms your dog as long as you are committed to putting in the time. I can’t recommend her enough and I will take every dog I ever have in this house to be trained by her.

Kim is a life saver! When we first adopted Impa she would scream and lunge at everything that moved when we left the house. I took her to her first vet appointment and left in tears because she was so unmanageable with the other dogs in the waiting room. With Kim's guidance, Impa has come such a long way. She went from screaming at every dog she saw, to playing with three other dogs at last Saturday's dog party. Kim also guided us through introducing our senior kitty to Impa, which was something I was very concerned about. They still aren't best friends, but they can exist in the same room now and we will continue to work with both of them to get them comfortable with each other. Even though we've finished our lessons, Kim has given us the tools to keep training Impa on our own and Kim is always available to offer us tips and guidance on our training journey. I can't recommend her enough!

I recently got a new puppy. I wanted to start him off right from the start. I contacted Kim and she was very responsive. She is very knowledgeable about dog behaviors. She was full of tips and tricks to help train my puppy. MyShe does use treats with training, but not overuse. My puppy was only 4 pounds when I got him, so if I fed too many treats, he wouldn't eat his food, so that was important to me. He has a bit of a stubborn streak, but he was no match for Kim, lol. She taught me different spots on his body to obtain focus and reset him for listening. Kim worked around my schedule to make it super easy for us to connect. I would recommend her for all you training and behavior challenges!

We have now had two dogs trained by Kim, and I can honestly say that anytime we bring another dog into our family, Kim will be the first person we call! Our first dog came to Kim as a 6-month-old puppy who was absolutely crazy—full of energy and ready to do whatever he wanted! My husband and I also have very different styles when it comes to training and communicating with a dog, so having Kim work with all of us was incredibly helpful. She didn't just teach our puppy commands and expectations; she taught us how to communicate clearly, set boundaries, establish respect, and interact with our dog in a way that made sense to him. Our now 2.5-year-old dog continues to benefit from everything Kim taught us. Our second dog was a 4-year-old rescue who needed help listening to commands, following our lead, and understanding boundaries. She also needed help with house training, crate training, and learning the boundaries of our yard. Kim was amazing with her, and she caught on quickly! It was also so helpful that our other dog already knew and followed Kim's commands, which gave our rescue another great example to follow. One of the things we love most about Quality Canines by Kim is that it has become so much more than dog training for us—it has become a community. We love attending Kim's puppy parties with our two dogs each weekend and getting to know other dog owners whose dogs have also been trained by Kim. She has created such a wonderful group of people who genuinely support one another and enjoy watching each other's dogs grow and succeed. Kim has made such a positive difference in our dogs and in our ability to be better dog owners. We recommend her to anyone we know who is getting a new dog, adopting a rescue, or struggling with their dog's behavior.
