Pups with a Purpose

I recently completed the 6-week Puppy Essentials Skills class with my almost 1-year-old Golden Retriever, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for both of us! We both learned many valuable skills that will set us up for a lifetime of success together. The class introduced essential commands like sit, down, come, leave it, loose leash walking, calm on command, and place. We also covered important topics such as understanding dog body language, proper greetings with people and other dogs, and faith-in-handler exercises. Jessica, Gina, and Alecia are fantastic instructors—patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about dogs. They did an amazing job teaching the foundational obedience skills while making the classes engaging and fun. They were also incredibly helpful, happily answering all our additional behavioral questions beyond the curriculum. The class was small and intimate— 3 instructors with 6 dogs/handlers. It included a great training guide, a 6-ft leash, a 15-ft long lead, and entry into their private Facebook group. It was well-structured and perfectly suited for puppies in that 6–12 month range. I’m already looking forward to enrolling in their structured daycare program and signing up for their therapy training courses next. Highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to build a strong, confident foundation with their pup!
