Pups Dog Obedience Training

My dog Brodie (1.5 years old) and I enrolled in the basic obedience class this winter. It was such a positive experience for me and my dog. I wanted to get him around other dogs in a neutral space with structure. I never expected to see such a positive shift in his training. The tools and techniques they give you are a GAME CHANGER. They gave me the confidence I needed to become a fair and predictable leader that my dog can trust. I have already recommended the class to multiple friends with young dogs and I plan on taking more classes with them! I could not be happier with the outcome. We love PUPS Dog Obedience Training. We have a high-drive, working Labrador retriever named Mason who has gone through the puppy course, 8-week obedience course, rally courses, and competitive obedience training with Karen and Kristin. They have always been there for us every step of the way through success at his first trial, and the many challenges that come with training a dominant, high-drive dog. I daresay that Mason would be a VERY different dog if not for our training with PUPS (and not in a good way). For the last few years, we have also boarded Mason with PUPS when we are away. As stated previously, Mason is a high-drive, dominant dog. Karen and Kristin are about the only people we trust to keep Mason safe, stimulated, and healthy when we are out of town. PUPS boarding is unique in that they do not let dogs run/play together in a big room, unlike many other kennels in the area. Kristin provides many long walks for the dogs that are staying, plays with them individually, and they even have a dog treadmill used for some dogs if it is too hot to exercise/walk outside. PUPS also communicates very well throughout your dog's stay and administers any sort of medication your dog needs. Kristin has even taken our dog to the vet in the past in an emergency situation. Mason is 11 years old, and we will continue to lean on PUPS as long as we have training/boarding needs. When the time comes (hopefully not too soon), we'll use PUPS for any future dogs we have as well. Karen and Kristin are truly the best! I cannot recommend or review them highly enough.

I can't say enough good things about PUPS training and boarding facility. For seven years, I've trusted them with my dutch shepherd, and each visit surpasses the last. Their understanding of canine behavior is truly unmatched. One of the highlights of their boarding service is the thoughtful touch of sending photo updates during my dog's stay. It provides peace of mind and a welcomed glimpse into her adventures. Their indoor facility is a game-changer, especially during inclement weather. Rain or shine, my dog gets the exercise and mental stimulation she needs to stay happy and healthy while I am away. It's evident that they prioritize the well-being and happiness of every dog in their care. They incorporate mental stimulation into her routine without the need to mindlessly put her in a room with a bunch of other dogs, like many other boarding facilities do. This is especially significant if you have a powerful breed. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anyone seeking top-notch dog training or boarding services. They are not just professionals; they are wonderful people who treat their clients like family and regularly go above and beyond to provide exceptional service.

My dogs and I absolutely love PUPS training. Karen and Krystin and Val teach your dog to think. There is no food reward. A prong collar is used. Your dog’s confidence soars because your dog figures things out. The dogs love it and respond so very positively to it. When I train at home, all the dogs want to join the fun. And, they remember every detail even years later, because it all makes sense to them and was presented in a fun and logical way. Yes, there are corrections that you and your dog learn. It’s all real and fair and your dog has respect for the process. Karen has taught me a great deal about observing dogs and reading their language. I use PUPS basics every day in my work as veterinarian, and I certainly utilize them every single day at home. Thank you !
