Proactive Dog Training, LLC

I contacted proactive dog training becauses I have 3 small/medium sized dogs who would bark and pull like crazy every time they would see other dogs on walks. It made walking them frustrating for both myself and my dogs. This past week, after only 4 training sessions , (and practice on my own inbetween session), I took all 3 to lake pine and umstead park. My dogs walked right by dogs without barking!! Javier gave me the tools and confidence to stop this bad habit. He has have given me back the ability to enjoy my walks again, i will be forever grateful!! I highly recommend Javier and his team!

These guys exceeded all expectations! Prior to the board-and-train our pup Niko had the basics down but was super anxious, leash reactive and had "selective hearing". After working with Javier and his team Niko did a complete 180. I can take him anywhere now knowing he will be calm and respond appropriately to commands. What I really appreciated from Javier was his emphasis on the state-of-mind of a dog in various situations - how to understand it and shift it as necessary. Javier also had loads of great analogies that helped us really understand different behaviors and how and why to correct or reward them accordingly. The board and train package might seem expensive but the freedom and trust it has allowed us to have with Niko makes it seriously priceless!

I called inquiring about training for my puppy early in the morning hoping to get into any program. Javier was the only one to pick the phone up when I called. He informed me that his one on one classes were full until February, and you would think after that he would rush off that phone, but he did not. He was patient and listened to me express my concerns with my puppy. He even gave me tips and advice that have seemed to work so far for me and my pup. I am looking into being put on a wait list because the knowledge and patience I received just over the phone impressed me that much.
