Precision K9 Work - Austin Dog Training

I don’t think I need to add anything on the horrific ducky/draper situation. However I would like to say do not go here under any circumstance. I am much more content with my dogs safety at the new facility he goes to. When he was training with precision we were constantly at the vet for stomach problems and him losing weight while in their care. He also developed severe food aggression, that he did not have before board and stays with them. I thought he was developing medical/food sensitivity issues, whilst his vet advised us to STOP going here because he probably **allegedly** was not being fed the correct food that I packed, not being fed enough/at all, and probably was left to stay in a box kennel **allegedly** for hours on end. After he stopped attending board and trains here, he gained weight and rarely ever has stomach sensitivity. Crazy how he never has stomach problems or weight loss when staying at his new school. Since the ducky story has came out, we have also been in contact with ex employees corroborating the **alleged** unethical and abusive practices used on my dog while at B&Ts with them, and how they were told to sugarcoat everything to us and other dog owners. It took almost 3 months for my dog to be comfortable working with new trainers. At his new school I have met SEVERAL people who used to go here, but stopped going for very similar reasons to me. I do not live in the area anymore but the people that I just mentioned above drive 5 hours to attend the training facility we go to now, instead of going to Precision K9 Work. That’s pretty sad. I never left them a bad review before because that is just not like me, but I feel that the public needs to be aware of my experience. It is not just a one off. I do not wish bad things on the trainers that work here, but if you’re reading this Jake, please do better. I feel so sick to my core that I trusted you specially with Axel that entire time. Maybe some of my experience is on me for trusting board and trains, but at the time there were truly no bad reviews that I saw. I have a lot more to say, but I’ll tell it to TikTok. Please do not even reply saying we didn’t go here like a lot of the other negative reviews, because I will drop pictures for proof if I need to.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Precision K9. Jake cares about the work he does, the dogs and their well being. The one star reviews from people who saw nothing but a Facebook story being shared about the rehoming of a dog aren’t fair. You only got one side of a story and have no business leaving a review unless you’ve been a client of Jakes. Because if you had, you’d know that his judgement is sound.

We’ve had such a great experience training our dog at K9, but specifically with Daniel. From the first evaluation, through all the sessions and follow-up messages, he’s been extremely helpful as we navigate training our cattle dog/shepard puppy. He has suggestions for all the different challenges we’ve faced and has given us really great techniques to teach our dog good behaviors. We’re very grateful for the knowledge and expertise he has shared with us.
