Precision K9 Work - Austin Dog Training

I had such a great experience with this dog training program! My dog has made incredible progress. Jake helped me with walking nicely on a leash, not reacting to other dogs, and most importantly, focusing on me. Jake is very patient, knowledgeable, and made the sessions fun and effective. I can already see such a difference in my dog’s behavior and our overall bond. I would definitely recommend Jake to anyone looking for a results driven training program!

I really wanted to like this trainer as I'd done a lot of research into trainers in my area. Eventually, I came across this trainer and reached out. It took him a while to respond to my messages but I didn't think much of it. Then I finally get a date and time set to meet with him. I make the hour drive from my house with my puppy and low and behold he's not there. Door to his facility locked, and no one answering the phone after several calls. I waited 15 minutes to get some response back to nothing and no call back after hours. Very disappointed at the customer service but after reading some of the other recent reviews, I'm thinking it was actually a blessing and that I dodged a bullet. Take your chances if you'd like, but if a trainer can't even treat and communicate well with people, I would hate to see how he is with dogs.

Since I previously had good experiences with 1:1 training and boarding with this company, I decided to give it another chance and boarded my dog for 52 hours over memorial weekend. When I picked her up yesterday evening, I was not invited into the office upon Jake's arrival but made my own way in and noted a strong smell of urine coming from another room. When I received my dog, it immediately became evident to me that she had soiled herself and was left to lay in urine long enough for it to dry and cause her belly fur to stick together. My dog can last 8-10 hours on occasion without a pee break and has never soiled herself. 5 minutes down the road from the facility, I had to pull the car over as she desperately needed to go pee. I was shocked to see the color of her urine was orange and I wondered if she was even let out of her crate at all that day. For some reason, she was extremely reluctant to sit and her back legs were shaky when she attempted it. She also had irritated skin on all four of her paws which I assume is from the urine and a small scab under her eye which I could not determine the cause of. When we got home, she drank an entire bowl of water. I had boarded my dog here twice before without issue and all Jake had to say for this time was that "she was very nervous" while avoiding eye contact. I really wanted to support his company through a rough patch but he really blew it and lost my trust entirely.
