If you are the hands-on type that wants to be personally involved with training your pooch, our group dog training classes are for you. Group classes not only teach you training methods, but also provide the benefit of socializing with other dogs and owners.

I recently adopted two dogs, that are one and half years old. I have been working with them both in my home and yard. But I'm finding that they are scared of everything out side of my yard . Do you have any suggestions?

Dogs are like children, if you expect them to continue to do what they learned, you must reinforce it. Positive Pets does training with you to reinforce everything they have taught your dog.

Dogs cant lie...so if you arent doing your homework (consistently reinforcing the training)we will know. We absolutely want you and your pup to succeed, but for that to happen, you must do your part!

She will only forget if you dont practice. If you dont use it, you lose it! The trainers give you all the tools and resources you need to continue practicing too, which I have noticed a lot of other places dont really commit to like Positive Pets does. And think of it this way, 30 minutes of training spread throughout the day only takes about 3% of your entire day. The difference that every day practice will make is phenomenal.

10/10 I recommend Positive Pets!!! I have a very anxious, reactive dog that we tried to train several years ago with a different trainer (no name given out of respect) who just couldn't handle the level of reactiveness my dog had at the time, so we gave up and kept our dog safe from people and other pets for years. I have been afraid to take him outside on walks or anywhere else because he does have a bite history, lunges at moving vehicles when they drive down the street, or barks loudly at anyone crossing paths. My life circumstances have changed, and it became essential to train with my dog for our new life. I took 4 private lessons with Devin over the course of 5ish weeks and in that very short amount of time I have turned 8 years of anxiety into empowerment with the confidence to take my dog anywhere and know what tools I can use to keep everyone safe and comfortable. My now 10-year-old dog has experienced more than he ever has before and I can tell it has improved his quality of life. We are so thankful for the experience and professionalism shown by Devin and everyone at Positive Pets. Ryder says HI!

We brought our 8-month-old golden retriever, Cooper, to Positive Pets as a last resort—we were struggling with training and didn’t know where to start. When we first walked in, all I could say was, “I just want to be able to take my dog for a walk!” We decided on the mid-level training package, and after Cooper’s first full day of classes, we had the pleasure of meeting Karly. She was our savior! Not only did she teach Cooper, but she also taught us how to train him correctly. She was an absolute delight to work with—so patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. In just six weeks, with Karly’s guidance, we’ve completely transformed Cooper into the best dog. I am truly amazed! We could not have done this without her. While everyone at Positive Pets is fantastic, Karly really connected with us and our dog in a way that made all the difference. Yes, the training is an investment, but it will be the best money you ever spend. If you’re struggling with your dog, don’t hesitate—Positive Pets and Karly are worth every penny!
