Pet Project Dog Training

I went to Keira to help with my golden retriever's reactivity to people in my neighborhood. Keira's training philosophy was a breath of fresh air. She focused on positive reinforcement and she helped me be aware of my dog's triggers and understanding my dog's body language in different situations. In the past I've done training where you teach your dog a trick and move on to the next one, but Keira was amazing in helping me understand the real issue for why my dog is behaving certain ways, and then teaching me tricks to help my dog focus on me and not the triggers. I would recommend her to anyone!

The process of seeking a dog trainer was a bit stressful because of many bad reviews I had seen online with other trainers/companies; however, I am pleased to have discovered Pet Project. Keira has been amazing. This was my first experience with a professional dog trainer, and I was uncertain about what to expect in the beginning. I have a five-year-old Saint Bernard mix who experiences signs of fearfulness and anxiety. I appreciated that Keira employed gentle, positive reinforcement techniques and was attentive to my dog’s behavior. My dog tends to flee when encountering unfamiliar people and environments, and liked that the training was tailored to her pace. Although there is still progress to be made, I have already noticed significant improvements since the fourth session. I am grateful for her expertise, patience, adaptability, and reasonable rates. I am super happy to have found her.

Keira has been fantastic to work with. My dog has drastically improved some of her bad habits in just 4 sessions. Her methods are simple to follow and easy to implement during the day. My dog is very excitable and Keira was able to calm her down almost immediately (shocking) after just the first training. Keira makes it very convenient by coming to your place and was able to be accommodating with my schedule. Highly recommended.

Keira was so patient with my anxious toy poodle, Theodore. She gave me practical tips, advice, and instructions to handle my dog’s reactivity. She explained the reasons why she chose certain training methods. I really appreciated her discipline-free model and she instructed that we work with our pup and be patient. Theodore’s reactivity and anxiousness has been better using Keira’s methods. One thing I really appreciated is that she never rushed through the sessions and ensured that whatever she did worked for Theodore. We will continue to work with Keira on Theodore’s needs. He loves her a lot!!
