Pet Peeves Dog, Cat, Horse and Bird Training

Wendy is without a doubt the best, most knowledgeable trainer I gave ever met. Trained two of our girls, both Golden's who were never socialized. They are now loving life and love their surroundings. Her method, kindness, positive actions and of course her constant on hands ability to calm the most scared dogs. She also trained a deaf friend of mine with a rescued lab to be a help for her, how hard is that? Wendy did it and with success. How lucky are we to have her in our pets lives, and ours!!!

I completely trust my fur babies with Wendy Kelly/ Pet Peeves. I first came to know Wendy when I rescued my pit mix. I felt I should have him trained right away so i could communicate with him and handle him. I had never had a dog his size or weight before. He came from a bad situation so he knew absolutely nothing and I didn't know much about his past. At a year old he didn't know how to walk on a leash or sit. Didn't know how to go up or down stairs and accidentally hit a sliding glass door. I guess he had never seen one before. He was terrified of crates and would destroy it within minutes if you put him in one (even an iron reinforced one). He had terrible separation anxiety, understandably so, and I didn't know if he was aggressive. Because I have another pup, a miniature pinscher that has epilepsy, I was concerned. I had heard some dogs attack when they see another animal seizing and with his strength, he could surely hurt my other pup. So I asked friends for a reference and my CEO at the time highly recommended Wendy Kelly. What a blessing! Wendy and I spoke and agreed fast tracking my pit mix was the way to go. I dropped him off and at 4 days he was ready to be picked up. Still to this day I cannot believe how much was accomplished in just 4 days and all through positive-based training. He knew it all! Walking on a leash, heel, free, sit, stay, down, leave it, wait, give. He even knew the trick "bang". Adorable! She taught him to accept his crate and helped greatly with his separation anxiety. Now, he's not perfect. Once in a blue moon he messes up and when he does Wendy is a phone call away and will visit if necessary. Her advice is always spot on. I also quickly learned it isn't just the pet that gets trained. I got trained too :). Wendy taught me how to be alpha and how to establish the hierarchy in the home. There is so much more I can say, so many more positive experiences but the bottom line is that when it comes to our pets, if you're like me, you see them as family. My pups are my boys and finding someone you wholeheartedly trust with them is difficult. I am truly blessed to have found Wendy Kelly/ Pet Peeves and am forever grateful for her dedication, kindness, and passion.
