Performance Plus K9 Activity Center

I can’t speak highly enough of PPK9. My rescue dog and I have been going there 2 years this Fall. He started in daycare as I have to work full time and his needs required him to have supervision. We were originally training at another recommended place by my vet. We were struggling in our training with his constant frustration and fears. I utilized the Doggie Day School one week for training and I noticed a difference in his demeanor and behavior quickly. The trainers were giving me tips and tricks to practice at home. When one day a trainer said to me he loves it here and he’s such a good boy. Why don’t you train here with us? From that moment we switched everything into them and he earned his Canine Good Citizens Title this year. They took an anxiety ridden, fearful, stubborn, yet lovey, goofy, high strung, crazy pooch that “most would have gave up on” and worked diligently with us both to become confident and in sync. They are dedicated, supportive, and committed to helping you and your dog. From the array of training classes, daycare, grooming, boarding, and a lobby store, you have a one stop shop for all your needs.

Incredibly negative experience. I brought my dog here for grooming a handful of times, and it was ALWAYS hit or miss. After my last experience, I won’t return. It took over 5 hours for my dog to be groomed, and when I arrived, a staff member was yelling at kenneled dogs to “BE QUIET.” I was incorrectly charged by a staff member after one grooming appt (total cost was different after every appointment, so I didn’t flag this as concerning), and despite the staff member’s clerical error, they insisted it was my responsibility to pay the $10 difference that I “owed” over 8 weeks after the service date. When I asked about the clerical error, customer service was incredibly rude. They’d rather lose a consistent customer than $10? Disappointing.

Our sweet Lab goes to Performance Plus for both occasional day care as well as boarding. He absolutely loves it, begins whining in happiness as we round the corner to its location and does not look back when we drop him off. We KNOW he will be safe there, will have so much fun playing and socializing with other dogs and will be in capable, responsible hands. The care given to all dogs at Performance Plus is five stars. We highly recommend it!
