I have an 8 year old yorkie who was getting nasty, would bite me, not get along with dogs, and did not like to climb the stairs. I am so grateful to have found Perfect Pooches! Tim is so great, he sends daily updates of your dogs progress and even photos when you miss them. When you pick your dog up he spends several hours going over techniques, what to do when you go home, and makes sure to answer all of your questions and concerns. I am on day three of having her back home and I have a completely different dog. I am amazed! I can take her on nice long walks through town without having to worry about how she will act when seeing or passing another dog. We could not have been happier with the service offered by Tim and Perfect Pooches. We took our 4 month old min golden doodle - Lincoln - to Tim for a two week stay. Although happy, healthy and incredibly cute, Lincoln had turned out to be quite a handful and we were at a loss how to train him for even simple tasks. When we returned to get Lincoln two weeks later, we found a completely different dog - calm and obedient, yet still very happy and healthy. Tim spent three plus hours with us going over techniques and commands for us to take home. While, yes. Tim does provide an elector collar that vibrates harmlessly and is capable of a stimulation that we could not even feel, this is merely a useful tool to supplement Tim’s training techniques and knowledge which we will use at home for a time to make sure Lincoln does not slide backward over the next few months. So, we give Tim high marks (he says call anytime) and advise all that the money was well worth it - the whole family is much happier!!!

We made the decision to send our 5 month old puppy to Perfect Pooches for her to learn how to be a happy, well mannered member of our family, but also for us to learn how to be stronger leaders for her. Tim doesn’t just train your dog, he also takes the time to train you to ensure you have the knowledge to support your dogs happiness. Our puppy has learned to go to her place so we can eat meals without interruption. Learning “place” has also stopped her from running to or out the door when visitors come. We have noticed a significant change in the way she interacts with our senior dog. Respecting space and acting respectful which she most certainly learned from being in Tim’s pack. Also, I can’t express how much more enjoyable our daily walks have become! 180 turnaround experience and we would not have been able to accomplish this without Tim’s expertise. These things may seem simple to achieve to some, but life gets busy and it becomes super easy to neglect proper training and before you know it, you are reinforcing negative behaviors that will imprint for future unwanted behaviors. With the baseline of Tim’s training, our puppies expectations have simply become part of our daily routine through fun training activities. Training is certainly a journey, but Tim gave us a strong foundation to build upon that has brought peace back to our previously puppy run house.
