Deb's training strategies are effective and easy to follow. Our dog Bailey showed improvements even after just 1 lesson, and after 4 I'm amazed at how much progress she has made. We went from having a dog who would not come when called or come inside from the backyard to a dog who has much more backyard freedom because now she listens when we call and no longer thinks it's a game for us to try to get her to come inside. We are also really impressed with Deb's leash-walking/dog-meeting strategies. Before we worked with Deb, Bailey had a hard time controlling herself if she saw another dog while on leash, it's still a work in progress, but this aspect of her behavior has improved now too and we now know what to do to keep making progress. Overall, we would highly recommence Pepper's Paws to anyone who needs help training their dog!

If we could give Deb and Pepper’s Paws a 10 star review we would! From the moment we talked we knew she would be able to get our new rescue dog Boone on track to be our best dog ever! She was very reassuring and confident that he would be the dog we needed him to be with some basic commands and behavior modification. We followed her instructions, did our homework and she was right on the mark! We feel now we have the skills in place to continue reinforcing his new and good behavior. With a 2 month trip, in a 17 foot RV on the horizon, she made sure she even added some special training that would help us manage life on the road with a dog. Deb is so easy to talk to and so willing to help. We can call her at any time if we have questions or need advice. Just because our training is officially over her support is not. We are excited to join their weekend doggie walks with her clients and graduates when we return. We enjoyed working with Deb @ Peppers Paws so much we plan on enrolling Boone in some nose work training. If your looking for a dog trainer that really cares about your dog and their success then you need not look any further!

Deb was a blessing in disguise for me. Deb was recommended to me by All4Paws Rescue. I just adopted a 7 month old puppy, my first dog to adopt and I needed guidance. When Deb came for our first meeting I sat down and talked to her and I was ready to give sweet Bailey back. I thought I was in over my head. Deb listened to me, no judgement and after pouring out my concerns Deb just calmly says to me, "I'm not surprised to hear this". Deb told me I am just I overwhelmed and we just need to make some changes. After she left I felt so much better and followed all her instructions. Everything just fell in place. If I had any concerns or questions she was there a phone call or text message away. I had two more training days with her. In reality I was the one who needed the training, Bailey (puppy) was fine. I would highly recommend Peppers Paws to anyone who is having any problems with their dog when it comes to training or behavioral problems.

If I could give them more stars, I would. We started working with Deb to help our two dogs. One with selective aggression of other dogs and while on leash (which Deb rightfully diagnosed as insecurity) and one who was afraid of everything. Deb’s positive, continual progress approach is exactly what we needed. Shelby who is dog selective has been able to be close to other dogs and go on group walks and get introduced properly to dogs and it’s now not an anxiety riddled time going on a walk worrying if we’re going to see another dog. We can redirect with treats and sometimes Shelby redirects herself. Riley who was so scared of everything and never learned a command before learned to sit within the first two lessons. Her confidence level has skyrocketed and she’s a different dog. She still gets frightened at big storms or overwhelming situations, but she has made so much progress that people that didn’t know we were training have made comments about how much more friendly and relaxed she is. If you are looking for an amazing training company, you’ve found it! Pepper’s Paws is amazing!
