REVISED: We just wanted to add the since writing our initial review in 2021 we've had Petra work with our other dog Lulu. She is also a cattle dog but a bit older. Due to a spinal cord injury she isn't able to play with other dogs very much, and during COVID she interacted with other dogs even less. She would have a very loud meltdown anytime she saw another dog and wasn't allowed to go play with them. Thankfully Petra worked with her over a series of sessions and was able to get her much more comfortable with being in public. Petra has a real gift of dealing with pups with behavioral issues. From 2021: Petra has been a godsend for our pup Kona. Kona is a rescue and when we first got her she had sever anxiety and a fear of pretty much everything. She's an Australian Cattle dog so she's also smart and very stubborn. She takes a very long time to get used to people but Petra was amazing at approaching her and now she's our dog's favorite person. We first hired Petra to do 10 sessions of training for Kona. For the first few sessions Petra worked just with Kona, later she had us work with Kona. She brought Kona on a pack walk with other dogs and Kona thrived being part of a pack. Now Petra takes her regularly on these walks and Kona has the best time. Petra also is our go-to dog sitter for Kona when we need to go out of time. Petra is dependable, timely and very communicative. Plus she sends us cute photos and videos all the time! She also will send us emails about issues that are in our area, food recalls and LA virus outreach like Lepto. She's a wealth of knowledge. We love Petra and we are sure you will too!
