Penny's Pets PdR

I have a 6-year old mixed-breed rescued dog, a chunky & aggressive 45 pounder. When I took him on his twice daily walks, he would charge at anyone who walked by or ran up behind me, causing me to fall a couple of times. My children were very concerned about my falls and encouraged me to get a trainer to tame my dog. I found Penny’s Pet Dog Training on Google search and was impressed with owner Petra’s credentials and testimonials from her customers. In mid-June, I signed up for the initial 10-lessons training. Petra is always punctual on the scheduled sessions. Upon returns, she explains what and how she trains and modifies my dog’s undesirable behaviors so that I can do the same to reinforce the training. She welcomed me to tag along and observed on her walks with my dog. What I’ve learned is that she has great insights into animal behaviors and infinite patience. She is teaching my dog as well as me. My daily walks with my dog are now less stressful as he now doesn’t charge at others as often. I’ve learned to be more observant of the surroundings during out walks, to anticipate and manage my dog’s reactions to people or animals encountered in passing. I plan to keep in contact with Petra for further training and/or other services offered by her for dogs.

We have been very satisfied working with Petra over the past few weeks with our new puppy. We also have an older dog, and Petra has provided helpful advice for training the puppy while still allowing the older dog to feel included. Petra provides great flexibility to accommodate our busy schedules, and she tailors each sessions to our current areas of priority. We highly recommend Petra’s services!

Petra is such an amazing trainer! She is warm hearted and very knowledgeable. We’ve only seen her a few times so far to help with our mini Australian Shepherd. He, being a herder, loves taking charge of most situations. In other words, he likes to do what he wants when he wants lol. I am so surprised with just a few visits Petra has been able to tame down our son. She has also identified some of his personality traits that can be worked on so that he can be a more relaxed dog when out and about. She’s given my partner and I tips and tricks at the end of each session to be able to work with our little DaVinci. We can’t wait to see how far he’ll go with her help this year 😊
