FirstBarkLainie is the best! We have been taking our 6 month old puppy to classes for several weeks now and she loves it! She always has the best time and we’ve learned so much from Lainie. We really appreciate the insight she offers on the way dogs communicate and understand us. Couldn’t recommend Pawsitive Pup enough!

Pawsitive Pup Training is located in the Midtown area of Wilmington NC offering dog training that is personalized to your needs and concerns. Lainie Johnston was certified at Catch Academy and follows positive force-free training methods. Services include puppy training and socialization, help with obedience for dogs of all ages, fearful and aggressive canine behavior modification and many other specialty dog help. Boarding with training is available for those needing extra help. Sessions are typically one hour and scheduled Monday through Friday. Call, text or email for more information.

We had a great experience with Lainey. I found her incredibly knowledgeable and she was attuned to what our dog and family needed. My dog loved her! Most importantly, when she left we felt like we had an easy to follow action plan to help our dog feel comfortable and succeed!
Lainie is fantastic! She helped us so much with two 3mo old Yorkie siblings. The pups absolutely loved her as well as her dog training studio. We learned a lot and the pups learned how to be more obedient, even at such a young age. Can not recommend her enough.

Lainie really is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable in positive reinforcement training. She was great at understanding my nervous adult dog's body language and explaining her feelings to me. You can tell she really knows her stuff and I was impressed how she was able to put my dog at ease. After just our first meeting I was given good steps and info that I can follow to get my pup to being less reactive without any force or punishment. Worth every penny and I highly recommend her.
