Paws Learn in Paradise

Lori and Paws Learn in Paradise has been life changing!! It's been a year since we fortunately found Lori and Paws Learn - we started off with training, and now we also leave our pup for boarding. Lori and her family are lifesavers and the training is truly transformative! For so long, we had been looking to find boarding for our large German Shepherd pup, but didn't have great experiences with daycares, dog sitters, and other trainers who didn't seem to have experience with active and anxious pups. We thought we'd never be able to travel until we found Lori! She takes the time to observe and understand your pup, and she's truly a dog whisperer and understands their cues and behaviors. It's amazing what she can do in a few weeks - she worked with our dog on his reactivity and anxiety, and after 3 weeks, we no longer have to worry about him being reactive or anxious during our walks and when we leave him at home. And importantly, she taught us how to maintain his training! She took amazing care of our pup, treating his wounds when he got bit by a bee and giving him a bath before he came home. He had so much fun, and you can tell he loved Lori and her family - he didn't want to leave them! Knowing he is in loving and excellent hands has been the greatest relief and reassurance for us. We have and will definitely continue to be using Paws Learn in Paradise for all our future boarding needs and continued training for our dog and any future pups :) cannot thank them enough !!

Working with Lori at Paws Learn In Paradise has been an exceptional experience for our family. Our puppy Archie was a rescue from a large litter in Mexico. As a puppy, he was very sensitive to loud noises and he was anxious around other dogs. Lori and her partner took him for 4 weeks and the experience was life changing. archie is now se well behaved. He is wonderful with other dogs and non reactive to loud noises. I didn’t originally want to send him but I am so glad that I did. Lori helped us before we got Archie with all of our anxious worries and was able to take him when we went out of town. I can’t recommend this dog trainer highly enough. I brought my nine-year-old dog Bear in, he has always been extremely nervous, not comfortable around other dogs and he also did resource guarding. I honestly wasn’t sure how much change was possible at his age, but I was completely blown away by the results. He came home a whole different dog—so much more confident, relaxed, and comfortable in himself. Lori was patient, knowledgeable, and truly understood my dog’s needs. The transformation was remarkable, and it was clear that everything was done with care and compassion. I’m so glad I decided to do this, I only wish I had done it sooner.
