Paws Learn in Paradise

Lori was an amazing dog trainer she works magic. She had my Frenchie for two weeks in that time she was able to have my dog learn a lot of commands as well as walk great off and on leash. He now is not reactive with other dogs know how to heal and place as well as sit and wait. If you know Frenchie they are very stubborn. Through out the two weeks she sent updates as well as pictures which was awesome. She spend an hour on the day of pick up to go over everything that my dog had learned and practice it with her Lori also said if we were having any trouble to give her a call and see would face time or come over and work with us to correct any stubborn behavior also said the first time we take him out on an adventure that she would meet up with us and show us. I feel like we got a great deal and come to find out she also boards animals once she trains them!!! I would like to thank Lori and her husband for helping us!!!!!

I have a very high energy Australian Shepherd that I adopted from an Aussie rescue facility. I wasn’t aware of his severe issues prior to his adoption. He apparently had a history of aggressive behavior and biting and had been abandoned several times. I was at my wits end before someone recommended Lori at Paws Learn in Paradise. I sent Sam for a 3 week stay, which was extended by two weeks for additional training and he came home a changed dog. Lori worked with Sam’s anxiety and did what she does so well and once Sam started to feel safe his behaviors changed. Sam is a loving dog today and I am so thankful to Lori / Paws Learn in Paradise. I would highly recommend Paws in Paradise to anyone who wants to see their dog transform and become the dog you know they can be.

Lori was so amazing for our fearful reactive dog, Bandit. He’s always had terrible leash manners and been hard to manage when people come over. We recently had a baby which has made it all the more difficult. We heard about Lori through a coworker and how she helped his dog. She was amazing with our boy! You can tell she took the time to get him to trust her and then to help him unlearn bad habits while building his confidence for more appropriate behaviors. She sent updates and pictures throughout. He needed a little extra time which Lori provided for no extra fee. We really appreciated her seeing him through and not sending him home till she thought he was ready. He made such an improvement through this training. He does great sitting in his place and not rushing when people come over. He is quiet if packages are delivered while baby is asleep, and if we say leave it he drops whatever he has. Lori checked in multiple times after we brought him home and gave us guidance on anything we needed to help him. They let us know if we need anything we can reach out and they also offer boarding where they’ll touch up any training things while he’s there which we will be taking advantage of. Bandit is so much more confident since attending this course and less anxious. Highly recommend Paws Learn in Paradise. You can tell how much they love animals and want to help your fur baby be the best they can be.

Trusting and working with Lori has truly been life-changing for our fearful dog (Diego had been beaten by his past owner, before we rescued him). He was fearful of most people, especially men. He was stubborn on leash, and was most often not responding to commands. Lori's effective approach, focused on trust, building his confidence and teaching him how to properly behave with other dogs and humans. The 3-week stay he had at her place made an unbelievable difference. Diego's fear of people has drastically decreased, his confidence grown exponentially, walks are super enjoyable with him heeling constantly, and he responds reliably to commands. Lori not only trained Diego but also empowered us with the skills to continue his progress. I am so grateful for her expertise and highly recommend her to anyone struggling with their dog's behavior.
