Paws Centric

There were only positive reviews for Paws Centric so I was confused with my entire experience. When I brought my dog in for daycare to the Beavercreek location, I had a hard time finding the correct building as the signage didn’t match the name on the website and the door associated with the address had a lockbox on it. I called the number to make sure I was in the right place. Unfortunately, I was. I was led into a pee-smelling lobby by (I’m assuming) the owner who was wearing pajamas and slippers. She didn’t ask me for my name, contact info, dog’s name, shot records, proof of payment, absolutely no check-in process. I had to be to another appointment so I left my dog there against my better judgement. I returned for pick up intentionally early because my gut told me a “surprise visit” was in order and any reputable facility would have no issue with that. I was shocked to find the front door was locked and I couldn’t see anyone at the front desk through the window. I called the number and no one answered. Now worried, I called a few more times and left a message. My call wasn’t returned. After a few minutes, the owner pulled into the parking lot saying she had to give someone a ride. I was livid. I took my dog to daycare so that he would be attended to, not left alone in a stinking building. I took him and left, thankful that I had come to pick him up early. When we got home, he peed immediately for a long time, as dogs do when they haven’t been out for hours. Now the pee smell everywhere made sense. He also quickly drank 2 bowls of water. These two things led me to believe not only was he not taken outside at all, but he wasn’t ever given any water. I was extraordinarily disappointed with this facility and would warn other dog owners away. I expect professionalism when I pay for a service and I didn’t get an ounce of it here.

We recently boarded our beagle with Paws Centric, and it was, by far, the best experience we have had with a boarding facility. Their staff is knowledgeable and caring, but more importantly, treat your animal as part of their family. We, unexpectedly, came back early from our trip and they had our dog out playing with her when we pulled up. The extra attention they give your dog is a different level of service than I have ever found while boarding. Based on her behavior when returning home, our dog's emotional and physical needs were met as if we'd never left. That, to us, is like finding a gem!
