We cannot recommend Pals Dog Training highly enough! Freedom Service Dogs recommended him after we adopted our two black labs, and over the past 8 weeks he has been absolutely incredible to work with. Our focus was helping the dogs learn proper play skills with each other, as well as important commands and behaviors such as “Leave It,” loose leash walking, and “Settle.” The progress we have seen has been amazing. He is patient, knowledgeable, and truly understands dogs and how to teach both the dogs and their owners in a way that feels practical and encouraging. What has stood out the most is how genuinely passionate he is about what he does. He goes above and beyond — generously providing training treats, toys, and even settle mats at no extra charge because he truly wants the dogs (and owners!) to succeed. Most importantly, our dogs absolutely adore him and get excited every time he comes. It is clear he cares deeply about the animals he works with, and that passion shines through in every session. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Dominic. After working with a couple other trainers and feeling increasingly discouraged, we were honestly ready to just give up on our goals. Then we found him, and everything changed. From the very first session, his intuition with our dogs was remarkable. He seemed to be able to read them immediately. He understands their individual personalities, sensitivities, motivations, and even their subtle body language cues. Our two poodles have very different temperaments, and he adjusted his approach seamlessly for each of them. The shift in their focus and responsiveness was almost immediate. What truly set him apart, though, was not just how naturally he connected with the dogs, but also how effectively he communicated with us. He didn’t just “train the dogs.” He taught us. Every technique was explained clearly and thoughtfully, including the why behind it. He broke down timing, tone, explained important nuances and levels of reinforcement in a way that made everything click. We felt empowered rather than confused and frustrated. His expertise and effectiveness were far above and beyond the other trainers we worked with. With him, progress was structured, measurable, and encouraging. Each session built logically on the last, and the results spoke for themselves. He treated our dogs with respect and care, and was genuinely invested in our success. Our poodles are not only better behaved now; they’re happier and more secure. And we, as owners, feel confident and capable in a way we never did before. We can wholeheartedly say that the right trainer makes all the difference. And Dominic is the best there is!

We had a wonderful experience with Dominic and Pals Dog Training. We got a puppy at 6 months old and when we brought him home he went nuts around our cat and other dogs on walks. Dominic came recommended from a friend, and we outlined a few challenge areas we wanted to work on. He came up with a training plan, focusing on 3 main skills. We met over several weeks and built upon each skill, and the results exceeded anything we had imagined. I couldn't recommend Pals Dog Training enough.
