About Packman to the Rescue, K9 Solutions & Coaching
Pat’s approach to dog rehabilitation focuses primarily on the dog owners. Why? Dogs feed off of the owners energy (emotional state) as their primary method of understanding, respecting and trusting humans.
If a dog senses any kind of emotional instability (such as nervousness, anxiety, frustration, anger, etc.), they will assume that you are weak and not in control of the situation. Therefore, the dog will not trust or follow you and will assert itself to become the pack leader.
Pat can recognize a person’s energy and body language and therefore he provides guidance on how to adjust thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to become an effective leader. He also provides recommendations and adjustments for daily rituals along with the kno

We got out Golden Retriever, Luna, when she was 11 weeks old. When she was around 6 months, she began pulling when leash walking and by a year she was fearful of certain noises, including landscaping trucks, garbage trucks, and delivery trucks. The backup beeping noise would send her pulling and lunging in the direction of our house. It got to the point we couldn't even leave our property, and walk on our dead end street. In fact, there were days Luna didn't even want to leave our house. Of course we researched strategies and tried different ways to help her work through this, but nothing worked. We realized we needed help! My niece and nephew told us about Pat and I called him. The first time Pat came to our house, he had Luna in a calm state within minutes. I knew we finally found someone who could help us help Luna. During our second session, we were able to leave our property and walk down the street. This was something we hadn't been able to do for months!! I was thrilled and so grateful! Pat walked next to me and coached me throughout our sessions. He is patient, and talked me through what I needed to change or how to I needed to adjust the leash in order to help Luna work through her fear. It truly is about training people and not dogs! We are so grateful to Pat and everything he has taught us. I am pleased to say we are now walking Luna off our property and have received compliments about her behavior!

After the first session we noticed a remarkable difference in our dogs behavior. We haven’t even finished all our sessions and he is basically a different dog. 10/10 would recommend

Pat has been very helpful in enabling US as dog owners to understand how OUR behavior is the key to a calmer and happier dog. We have seen very good progress over our sessions with Pat while applying them to how we act and to enable our pup to be his best self. Highly recommend Pat's services...

We were referred to Pat by the rescue from which we got a challenging dog (in the sense that he had a lot more energy and protective behavior than I’m used to. ) What I really value in Pat (aside from his sense of humor) is his familiarity with both canine and human psychology. His encouragement and technical knowledge have been invaluable in helping and reassuring myself and my partner on our journey to integrating our new friend into our pack. Thanks, Pat!
