I have a rescue Cane Corso mix. She does not know her size when playing with other dogs.. I saw all the worried faces around me when I was at the dog park and she could fit a (dog) Poodle’s neck in her mouth comfortably without hurting the dog. Anybody would panic watching this playing out. My dog intended no harm. She just wanted to play. I have been looking for the right dog trainer to help me figure this out. How can I teach my dog to play nicely with other dogs. I was really scared. I reached out to The Madison Dog Resort. And Victor put me in contact with Pat, their Dog Trainer, Packman to the Rescue. After my first interview with Pat, he gave me some instructions to follow. We did an exercise with my dog, and that was it. I came back home with a calmer dog. Even my neighbors noticed the difference. Today was our third meeting. My dear dog, Diva girl, is doing great. Today she joined the pack of 12 dogs calmly. I am so very proud of Diva! I still have homework to do for a few weeks, to keep training her on how to play nicely with other dogs. I am totally looking forward to it. I know I will get results. Thank you Pat, for explaining to me what to do in simple steps with noticeably effective results. It’s how Pat translates the words into action. The way he communicates the exact detail that will make a difference in my dog’s behavior. For example, we all hear that your dog feels your energy. Anybody can repeat those words. However he was able to explain to me exactly what I was doing wrong and how to do it differently for my dog to feel calm. It sounds obvious, however, nobody pointed those details out before, even when they can recite all the training books they read. I am grateful for Pat’s knowledge and his teachings.

I called Pat to help me with my 2 Labs that are just under 2 years old. I have gone to group classes, but was still having issues where they would get to excited and jump on family and guests when they would visit. Just after my first session with Pat, I noticed signifcant improvements. He helps to train owners on how to be better leaders and also understand how a dog's brain really works. The approaches I learned at the group classes on correcting my pups was only getting them more excited - Pat is teaching me how to keep my pups calm and properly reward them.
