Questions & answers
From Google
What people have asked about this business.
How will behavioral training help my dog with reactivity?
Reactivity is a symptom, not the problem. Most training is focused on getting the dog to "heel" or doing obedience while the dog is highly aroused and stressed. We focus on building clear communication and a healthy rapport with the dog parent and more importantly, we address how the dog behaves at home where 90% of behavioral problems start and end. This is often the missing piece to training is not recognizing how all the small day to day interactions at home either make or break a dog's overall behavior. We create training plans that are realistic for both human and dog- not just cookie cutter.
Do you offer aggression dog or reactive dog training focused on behavior?
Yes, all of our training programs are focused on behavior and emotions first. Meaning, we are interested in resolving the root of behaviors like reactivity, aggression pulling etc. Most of the clients who come to PLH have already been through 1 or more failed training program because much of the training was focused on symptom management.
Can you train my dog to become my PTSD service animal?
Hi Harper,
Unfortunately, we do not train service animals we offer rehabilitation and training for dogs with behavioral issues and for puppies to create calm on command dogs.

Brianna was an invaluable training resource for us and our dog. She is a great listener and took the time to understand our concerns and goals for our dog. She provided actionable guidance and resources that were doable even on a busy schedule and were immediately supportive to our dog, helping him to feel safe in our home during a time of transition. Even in the virtual setting, we got great practice and feedback from Brianna on real-time use of these strategies. We would highly recommend Pack Leader Help!!!

Brianna is the best dog/people trainer I’ve ever worked with. Our opinionated/headstrong/wonderful corgi was trained as a young pup at a board and train and we received a one hour follow up to learn all that he had learned. He was great with the trainer, but not us.
Fast forward a year and we had an adolescent pup with big attitude and confusion about what was expected of him. He was biting, jumping, and basically running (and ruining) the house due to lack of structure and confusion. I was at my wit’s end because I read everything I could online about stopping aggression and using treats to reward but our super-smart corgi chonk was a step ahead of me, always finding ways to manipulate in his favor and inflict some bodily harm to his humans. We had the beginning of a serious problem that would only get worse without intervention. We knew Ballou was a special, amazing dog, but that we were not doing right by him. And this is where Brianna stepped in…
When she first arrived at our house, I was ready to burst into tears. She asked us many questions and let us ask her questions in return. She watched us with Ballou. She was quickly able to assess the situation and provide us with valuable feedback. Ballou had too much freedom and he didn’t know what we wanted from him. I am not adequately summarizing all that she said, but she broke it down into manageable chunks of information.
Brianna is more than a dog whisperer, she’s a dog behaviorist. She is so knowledgeable about dog behavior and made Ballou’s behavior make sense to us. Light bulbs went off in my head as she showed or explained things to me. She empowered us with information and confidence without any judgment of our bad parenting. We had done our best, we adore our Ballou, but we hadn’t been giving him what he needed.
She showed us leash tricks to get him to stop pulling. She showed me how to play with him where I was in charge and wouldn’t get bitten and so much more. As I said, she empowered us to be the best family for Ballou. When I hadn’t been working on the training as much between her visits, it was clearly obvious to her, but she didn’t call me out. She realistically laid out how his behavior could look with consistency.
Our reactive/poorly trained dogs can be our best friends and we deserve to get rid of the obstacles that hinder that closeness. The reason I was close to tears when Brianna first showed up was because I was so afraid Ballou was going to bite someone eventually and be put down. Because of her, I don’t believe that will ever happen and we all can live our best lives together. Thank you Brianna!!

I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience I had with Brianna. From the very beginning, she showed exceptional kindness and thoughtfulness towards both me and my dogs.
She took the time to understand our specific needs and tailored the training sessions accordingly. She used positive reinforcement techniques that not only made my dogs feel safe and loved but also made the learning process enjoyable for all of us.
Throughout the training, Brianna was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. Her genuine care for my dog’s well-being was evident in every interaction. I also appreciated how she provided me with helpful tips and resources to continue reinforcing good behavior at home. I highly recommend this business.
