Opportunity Barks provides dog training in Philadelphia and Bucks County using Lifestyle Dog Training, a real-life approach focused on behavior, communication, and everyday function, not just obedience.
We offer puppy training, private dog training, reactive dog training, and Board and Train programs designed for real-world results. Clients also have access to Day School in our Philadelphia studio for consistent, hands-on support.
Our farm supports Farm Dog® Adventures with transportation from Philadelphia, giving dogs the space, movement, and environment most are missing, so behavior actually carries into daily life.
We’re also home to Sport & Social Club, a place to connect and build a real life with your dog.

Do you teach a dog how to get along with other dogs
Drema,
We focus the bulk of our work with dogs that may be reactive (bark/lunge) or possibly be dog selective/dog aggressive (a known history or intent to do harm) on creating neutrality around other dogs on leash. Our goal is to help the dog relax, look to the owner for information and depending on the severity of the issue, get walking and recall work in a good place so the dog can function in the real world in a practical way. We look to develop coping skills and resilience, as many of these dogs too are just inexperienced, fearful or anxious. We customize our dog training and behavior modification programs and private training programs or boarding school programs would best address helping a dog get along with other dogs and creating neutrality around dogs. We had a scary incident with our Corgi who had attacked another dog at daycare. We knew it was time to bring in professional help for the issues we could not address at home. I was connected with Monica and within 2 days we had set up a last minute board and train for our Ollie for the beginning of the following week. The turn around time was seamless. All of my questions and concerns addressed. And rest assured, Monica empathized all the feelings surrounding our Ollie and that our feelings were valid. We weren’t the only dog parents feeling this way and wanting what was best! We are so excited and eager to see the progress with our boy and can’t wait to see him 2 weeks from now!

Choosing Op Barks was hands down the best decision I’ve ever made. I had tried training my dog on my own and none of the youtube videos or tik toks were working. So my dog went to Op Barks farm dog training, and it changed our lives. They helped me understand the importance of structure in her life, and I saw improvement within the first three days.
About six months later, my dog and I are doing things I never thought possible—going on off-leash hikes, playing, taking structured walks, and even doing agility courses. Our connection/bond has only gotten stronger. OP helped us get there.
All of the trainers are truly committed to understanding my dog and helping her learn. It’s hard to find people who will love your dog the way you do, but I think OP trainers come very close. They put so much thought and care into their training plans, making sure everything works for your lifestyle and your dog. It’s a little dramatic, but I have cried quite a few tears over all of the progress we’ve made.
I still send my dog to the enrichment program at the farm, and it’s something we both look forward to.
I could not recommend them more. In fact, I recommend them to everyone I meet.

We have had an awesome experience with Opportunity Barks! Our red fox lab Otis went there when he was just a few months old for a week long boarding and puppy training. I think he fell in love with being there and we were happy to have back a super gentle dog who learned all the basics and now, we just had a follow up call with Leigh to get a quick and dirty download of what to do for some habitual barking and begging. I love Leigh's matter of fact attitude and super friendly and helpful approach. We will def be back for more training this spring!
