Opportunity Barks provides dog training in Philadelphia and Bucks County using Lifestyle Dog Training, a real-life approach focused on behavior, communication, and everyday function, not just obedience.
We offer puppy training, private dog training, reactive dog training, and Board and Train programs designed for real-world results. Clients also have access to Day School in our Philadelphia studio for consistent, hands-on support.
Our farm supports Farm Dog® Adventures with transportation from Philadelphia, giving dogs the space, movement, and environment most are missing, so behavior actually carries into daily life.

Do you teach a dog how to get along with other dogs
Drema,
We focus the bulk of our work with dogs that may be reactive (bark/lunge) or possibly be dog selective/dog aggressive (a known history or intent to do harm) on creating neutrality around other dogs on leash. Our goal is to help the dog relax, look to the owner for information and depending on the severity of the issue, get walking and recall work in a good place so the dog can function in the real world in a practical way. We look to develop coping skills and resilience, as many of these dogs too are just inexperienced, fearful or anxious. We customize our dog training and behavior modification programs and private training programs or boarding school programs would best address helping a dog get along with other dogs and creating neutrality around dogs. We've been taking our dog to Opportunity Barks 'Farm Dog' program for almost two years and she loves it! We were referred to Opportunity Barks for training. Their approach was very gentle but effective. We learned that Bailey actually was insecure and lacked confidence; likely from her unstable home arrangements in the past. She had been dropped at a shelter as a puppy and then was placed with a couple during covid; only to be abandon at a boarding facility less than a year later when the couple broke up. Opportunity Barks were able to diagnos the issue and then help us to build her confidence while at the same time gain her trust. She has become such a calm and happy pup; and we owe that in large part to the team at Opportunity Barks.

Before Opportunity Barks, walks with my dog were stressful and frustrating — constant pulling, barking at other dogs, and major anxiety around trucks and other loud noises. We’d tried other programs, but nothing stuck. I was feeling helpless and hopeless.
From day one in the City Dog program, Ashlee and the team created a plan that worked. I quickly saw changes and finally felt like I could communicate with my dog. She was excited to go to school, and I started enjoying our walks again.
She’s not perfect yet, but now I have the tools and confidence to help her keep improving — and our bond is stronger than ever. Highly recommend!

The staff were kind. But this was a huge waste of money. My dog did the day school program for the longest amount of time possible. My main concerns were his anxiety and reactivity around strangers. This program did not help whatsoever. At the end the trainer told me "some dogs just don't like strangers." So my dog graduated the program. He still struggles with anxiety and reactivity. There wasn't any notable change in his behavior.

Had some doubts about how quickly or if I even would see results and I was thrilled with the outcome. My girl was developing some bad habits that I did not know how to address properly. In a very short amount of time the team here gave me the lessons I needed to not only correct those habits but help me help her turn into an even better dog. Highly recommend.

My dog Kelce has received training at the center city facility and the Farm dog program in Sellersville. You can tell right away that the trainers love the dogs. I feel great about leaving Kelce in their care for the day and she loves going and seeing her human and dog friends! She comes home happy and exhausted. I highly recommend Opportunity Barks.
