Opportunity Barks provides dog training in Philadelphia and Bucks County using Lifestyle Dog Training, a real-life approach focused on behavior, communication, and everyday function, not just obedience. We offer puppy training, private dog training, reactive dog training, and Board and Train programs designed for real-world results. Clients also have access to Day School in our Philadelphia studio for consistent, hands-on support. Our farm supports Farm Dog® Adventures with transportation from Philadelphia, giving dogs the space, movement, and environment most are missing, so behavior actually carries into daily life. We’re also home to Sport & Social Club, a place to connect and build a real life with your dog.

Do you teach a dog how to get along with other dogs

Drema, We focus the bulk of our work with dogs that may be reactive (bark/lunge) or possibly be dog selective/dog aggressive (a known history or intent to do harm) on creating neutrality around other dogs on leash. Our goal is to help the dog relax, look to the owner for information and depending on the severity of the issue, get walking and recall work in a good place so the dog can function in the real world in a practical way. We look to develop coping skills and resilience, as many of these dogs too are just inexperienced, fearful or anxious. We customize our dog training and behavior modification programs and private training programs or boarding school programs would best address helping a dog get along with other dogs and creating neutrality around dogs. As a first-time dog owner, I came into training a bit nervous. At the Old City location, Ashley made a real impact during classes and day school. Her guidance helped me build a strong, trust-based bond with my dog and made the whole process feel approachable and supportive. I learned so much more than I expected. Because of that experience, we became curious about OPBarks Farm Dog and attended an on-site event to check it out. I can confidently say we wouldn’t have explored Farm Dog as quickly if it weren’t for the people we met. It was clear the team not only loves what they do, but are knowledgeable, resourceful, and deeply invested in the dogs they work with. They create a safe, enriching environment for dogs to grow. After meeting Chelsea, Rachael, Bre, and Laura, we felt confident starting Farm Dog training. It’s been incredibly rewarding, and we love working with Chelsea! Our dog comes home with a little pep in her step, and that happiness carries over well after she’s back home. It’s been a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend taking full advantage of everything OPBarks offers, it’s worth it!

I can’t say enough good things about Opportunity Barks. Smokey looks forward to his weekly farm dog day. He comes home so happy and exhausted and the report card and pictures make me so happy to see how much fun he is having with his friends. The staff are amazing and treat every dog like their own. Chelsea is the best and each time I drop Smokey off he is so happy to see her and the van he forgets all about me.

Our dog Finnegan has been attending the farm dog program for the past four years and it is the highlight of his week. He absolutely loves going and is exhausted when he comes home. We couldn’t say enough positive things about the whole team, especially Chelsea. She has gone above and beyond for Finnegan and we are forever grateful we found Opportunity barks!
