When I first adopted Nicki (Doberman), I completely underestimated myself. I got her at 5 months old and quickly realized how afraid she was of the world and everyone around her. I trained her daily but could not get her reactivity down. She started becoming aggressive with my other dog(border collie) and realized I needed help. The amount of research I have done and daily training and exercise I was giving her was not sufficient. I would be lying if I said I didn’t consider rehoming her but I refused to give up. I started calling around to different dog trainers locally and decided that Ohana K9 was the best fit for her level of reactivity. Chuyee was her trainer and was super knowledgeable and helpful. Week after week I seen progress and incorporated the training they provided to her at home. They kept me updated every day with videos of her putting some real work in. I cannot thank Chuyee and the staff for being so patient and kind with Nicki. She would actually get excited every Monday when I would drop her off. She is completely changed in temperament and is now best buds with my other dog. Which is what I really wanted most. Although her board and train ended the training never stops and I will definitely continue to bring her to the monthly alumni sessions they provide for some refreshers. Thank you Ohana K9 for educating not only my dog but me as an owner to understand what it takes to be a dobie mom.
