Ohana K9 Academy - Dog Training, Boarding & Dog Daycare

Ohana did an amazing dog with my pup. He did the 6 week puppy program. I loved that they did a take home lesson each week with me to show me what he had learned and how to reinforce it. Ohana sent me home early week 2 because they feared he was sick. They checked up on him and gave me tips to keep training him while he was out. Overall the communication was great I got sent videos each week. His trainer Isabella did a wonderful job. I was a little sad that he didn't get featured on Facebook though.

Update July 2026: There truly aren’t enough words that we can express regarding how grateful we are for everyone at Ohana K9 Academy. Our relationship with Ohana goes all the way back to the very beginning. We entrusted our first dog, Toby, to Bo when he had just opened Ohana. And from day one, we were blown away by the professionalism, dedication, and incredible results that were yielded. It didn’t take long before we were recommending Ohana to every friend and family member we knew who had a dog in need of training. After we lost Toby, Bo even provided comfort to our family as we all needed time to heal. When we were finally ready to welcome another puppy into our household, Bo and his team generously and graciously welcomed us back with open arms. This time, Bo’s brother, Louie, took our Australian Shepherd puppy, Clancy, under his wing over these past eight weeks. Watching Clancy’s transformation during her 8-week puppy training has been nothing short of amazing. The countless videos showing her progress, the education, and hands on guidance during every pickup made us feel genuinely involved every single step of the way. Week after week, our family was in awe of how much Clancy was not only learning, but how much CONFIDENCE she was gaining. What once was a timid puppy, has flourished into such a confident dog. And fireworks during Fourth of July?! She couldn’t have cared less! This was ASTRONOMICAL (and don’t get me wrong, there are certain noises that may startle her - but nothing where she can’t reorient her attention back to us because of their training). It’s so evident that Bo and Louie have an extraordinary gift with dogs. They truly are dog whisperers (I may or may not have jokingly asked if they train kids too… 😂). What keeps bringing us back to Ohana isn’t just the outstanding training, it’s the people. Their constant reminder to “reach out anytime” isn’t just something they say; they genuinely mean it. We’ve taken them up on that offer more than once, and they’ve always been there with encouragement, advice, and support long after the training sessions ended. Their name “Ohana” couldn’t be more fitting because they truly make you and your dog feel like family. Whether it’s daycare, boarding, or training, you know your dog is being cared for by people who genuinely love what they do. And who absolutely love YOUR dog. We feel incredibly blessed to have found Ohana K9 Academy in Bo years ago, and we’re just as thankful today as we were with Toby. Thank you, Bo, Louie, and the entire Ohana team, for giving Clancy such an incredible foundation and for caring for our dogs as if they were your own. We recommend Ohana K9 Academy with our whole hearts. We will continue singing your praises for years to come. ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Bo is INCREDIBLE. Our Toby has had the privilege to learn under Bo for an entire week a couple of years ago and again do a “brush up” recently for an additional weekend. His generosity, love, and grace for these dogs is admirable. I have never felt so safe to place our “first child” in anyone else’s hands. Our dog, Toby, was always such a well behaved Australian Shepherd until our actual human children came... and then the bottom of the totem pole he went. He began to growl, bark tirelessly, and tremble. Sending Toby to Bo has truly helped these aspects of his behavior so much. He is a phenomenal teacher of how to help combat the unwanted behaviors at home and how to truly create a confident and obedient dog! We cannot give Bo enough praise for his amazing work, effort, structure, and love he gives to all his pet clients. We absolutely love Bo and cannot wait to use him again!!

If you are considering training for your dog…do it now! I regret waiting so long. Louie worked with my family and our pet to ensure that we were all aligned in the learning process. It truly was reciprocal process and I now feel super equipped and empowered to lead my dog. Our dog was never aggressive and went in with some basic skills, but what he needed was desensitization to teach himself to remain calm and relaxed when he seen other pets, when people come over and help with the non-stop barking. Our boy completed 6 weeks of training and the difference is incredible! He is calm, and is easy to redirect now. I am also happy that he loves the facility. He, not once, showed fear or sadness about working with his trainer. When we pull up to the facility, he is happy and excited to be there. I think that alone is very telling!
