We completed the two-week Board and Train program with Head Trainer Austin, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Prior to enrolling, we brought our super cute Staffy that has such a big personality in for a meet-and-greet, which immediately gave us confidence that this was the right fit for our dog and our family after not having the best experience with a previous Dog Boarding facility. Austin took the time to carefully listen to our concerns and paid close attention to the behavioral issues we wanted to address. Throughout the two-week program, he consistently kept us informed with updates, photos, and progress videos, which gave us great peace of mind and allowed us to stay connected to our dog’s training journey. On pickup day, Austin thoroughly reviewed everything our dog had been working on and ensured we understood how to maintain and reinforce the training at home. Since completing the program, we have felt significantly more comfortable walking our dog in environments with other dogs present. We’ve regained control during walks, and leash pulling has decreased dramatically. Most importantly, our dog’s manners and obedience have improved tremendously while still maintaining his fun, playful personality. This program was truly a worthwhile investment that will continue to positively impact both our dog and our family for years to come. We highly recommend training with this company!

We booked a 2 week board and train with trainer Austin and our sweet 1.5 year old spunky black lab came back home with the knowledge base of all commands as promised. This is when the real work began for us as her owners! We worked hard to continue to reinforce and hold her accountable in the day to day home setting; and Austin helped us through well beyond the training period! He has been responsive to all of our questions and encourages us to continue to reach out whenever something new comes up! We are super happy with how things are going!

We had such a great experience with Off Leash K9 Training in Richmond! We sent our dog, Nellie, for the 2 week board and train mainly to work on overall manners, pulling on walks, and off leash training, and the difference has honestly been amazing. Austin did such a great job with her and kept us updated throughout the program with phone calls, pictures and videos, which made us feel really comfortable while she was away. Before training, walks were stressful because of all the pulling, and now she can focus on us, listens to commands, and walks so much better. Her overall behavior at home has improved a ton too; she’s calmer, more attentive, and just easier to handle in general. Her training has given us so much more confidence taking her to new and crowded places. You can tell Austin really cares about the dogs and takes the time to make sure both the dog and owner understand everything before going home. He answered all our questions and made the transition really easy. Definitely worth it and we’re so happy we decided to do it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for training for their dog!

This is the second time we've been with off-leash training the 2-week train and board our dog Kona was very hard-headed and independent. She would not listen to this at all. And she'd run out the door and knock you over to escape. After 2 weeks is Austin. She is a total and completely different dog. She has door manners. She listens to us. She does all the commands that we need her to do. I can take her out in public and she's fantastic. Thank you! Awesome for the great job you've done with her
