Off Leash K9 Training, Richmond

I brought my pup Indy to Off Leash K9 for the 2 week community course with one of the lead trainers, Austin! The experience was incredible. My pup is a high energy Rhodesian Ridgeback and I needed to get him a solid training foundation in order to keep him safe as well as others. He is a well mannered pup but his size can hurt others while in play. Austin took him in and gave him an incredible training foundation. After the two weeks, Indy came back transformed into a new, well mannered pup with a positive baseline for my future training. Austin, set Indy up for long term success and I could never be happier about the whole experience with Austin and Off Leash K9. Thank you Austin for all your help transforming Indy and giving him the training base he needed for the future!

We cannot say enough good things about OLK9, Austin and the 2 week board and train that our 1 year old Bernedoodle, Scout completed the first 2 weeks of June. He has always been a good boy and willing to please, but with his puppy energy, we just had a hard time with his manners both in the house and out. And when we would take him on walks he would pull at the leash against his harness as if he was a sled dog the entire time. After 2 weeks with Austin, he is the BEST boy! No more leash pulling! And he fully mastered heal, come, sit, down, place & off. And he has maintained these commands now a month after. And the commands are useful in all sorts of situations I would not have even thought of before. I gave him a bath last night and he didn’t want to get in the shower and was running around the bathroom. At first I tried to chase him and pick him up. But then I remembered my commands and used come, sit & place in the shower and it worked he came and entered the shower on his own. And while he was drying in the bathroom after, he got the zoomies and was really spastic. But I showed him to the bath mat and said place and sit and it helped to calm him. It was like he was just too spastic because he didn’t know what to do. But as soon as I showed him a place and told him sit he was like “ok thanks Mom that’s helpful to know what to do in this situation.” He’s really good about staying in an extended down off leash now as well. The picture of him laying in the yard is in our front yard and I put him in the down just to practice the other day while I walked away to mess with my plants on the porch and he stayed for a good 10 minutes in that spot until I released him. He would NEVER have done that before working with Austin!!

We sent our 9.5 month old pup for the 2 week board and train with Jordan and cannot say enough good things about the experience!! Jordan was very easy to get ahold of from the day we were assigned to him, he answered all of our many questions, and we felt very comfortable with our pup in his hands. He was responsive during the 2 weeks, sent frequent updates and kept us fully in the loop. We can already see improvement in our dog’s behavior. 10/10 would recommend Jordan!

We recently sent our 2.5-year-old golden retriever, Maggie, to K9 Off-Leash Training for their two-week board and train program, and we are so grateful for the results. Jordan worked closely with her to build her confidence, and we have already seen such a positive change. Her obedience has improved significantly, and she has much better focus in her daily routines. Most importantly, her overall confidence has grown, and her anxiety has noticeably lessened. Without Jordan’s expertise, patience, and dedication, we would not have reached this goal. He has truly proven to be an excellent trainer who cares deeply about the dogs he works with. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for Maggie and for us as her family. Our 5 year old pittie worked with a few trainers (Logan, Jordan, and Austin) to re-establish basic commands and address some reactivity issues she started to have about a year ago. All three gents were very great at not only working with our pit but working with us also. We spent the last few sessions with Austin where he really focused on maximizing our time together, addressing my questions, and giving me homework each week that benefited the next session. I really appreciate the work he did. This picture means a lot to me because she's simply sitting at the feet of a stuffed bear instead of responding to it as a threat. Thanks gents!
