Off Leash K9 Training, Richmond

I recently used K9 for the 2 week board and training program with Jordan. It was such a smooth and easy experience! Jordan walked me through what to expect and took the time to understand my pain points with my pup. My puppy is so much better now! He’s listening to me more and knows more commands. Jordan walked me through how best to continue the training, so I’ve been able to keep up with that for a few minutes a day at home as well. I never would have been able to do it without Jordan!!

When I dropped off Blitz, my 18-month-old Labrador Retriever, he was a hard-headed, reactive puppy who listened only when he felt like it, and couldn't sit still for two seconds. Two weeks later, I got back the same lovable knucklehead—but now he listens, follows commands, and respects boundaries like never before! I’ll admit, I was wary at first because Ryan didn’t have as many reviews as some of the other trainers. But after seeing what he accomplished with Blitz, I’m so glad I ended up choosing him. Ryan’s a genuine outdoorsman and a true dog guy—you can tell he loves what he does, and Blitz responded to that right away. On Blitz’s first morning back home, we took our first walk through the neighborhood, and he handled it like a professional: calm, focused, and ignoring every distraction. I work from home, so we’re together 24/7, whether I’m working, hiking, camping, or just out for a drive. Having a dog who actually listens and understands boundaries has taken a huge weight off my shoulders! He’s still a puppy and occasionally tests me, but Ryan built a solid foundation for us to build on. Blitz bonded with him so much that he almost seemed sad to leave. Ryan truly set him up for success. The photos say it all—he’s a whole new dog!

What an amazing transformation! My dog, Azzie, worked with Jordan through the board and train program. We received daily communication from Jordan on her progress which was something my family looked forward to. With his training, Azzie knows how to come, sit, down, place and heal. She has much better people skills and does not bolt out the door. She can walk off leash! Both of my kids are also able to walk her (something we did not even dare to try due to her strength and her need to chase anything that moved). Jordan spent time then training US how to communicate with Azzie. He made sure we all felt confident before leaving, and assured us we can reach out to him at any time with follow-up questions. I would highly recommend OLK9’s board and train program. This has improved the quality of life for everyone in our family!

Rebekah is absolutely amazing. It is very clear how much she genuinely cares about not only the dogs she works with, but the families they come from. She helped our boy gain so much confidence and truly brought out the best in him. You could tell he genuinely had so much fun too. Her patience, communication, and dedication made the entire process enjoyable and easy to follow. We always felt supported and informed, and we could tell how much she wanted to see Bourbon succeed. Thanks to her, he’s more confident, responsive, and happy — and so are we!
