What is an e-collar?
Our "walkie talkie" (aka communication device) uses the same safe technology as TENS units you’d find at a physical therapist. We use the lowest possible stimulation—think “tap on the shoulder”—to get your dog’s attention, not to startle or scare. Hi Fanta, While we do require the dogs to be housebroken to enroll in our board and train program our puppy program for dogs 5 months and under does help you set up a good routine with crate training and breaks to be successful with housebreaking.

We did the 1 week boarding/training and had Will as our trainer. We have a 10 month old golden retriever named Kenny and Will was wonderful with him. He sent us lots of videos, photos, and detailed report cards throughout the week which let us feel extra comfortable knowing he was in good hands and well taken care of. After the 1 week of training we noticed a big improvement in Kenny’s problem behaviors and he learned a lot. Will taught Kenny a lot of new commands and we see a notable improvement in his listening and ability to follow those commands. Will spent time with us at drop off and pick up to ensure we felt comparable with the training. Thanks Will!

While it is true that every dog is different and maybe some can do well with more “firm” methods, using an e collar to stim a dog into submission is NOT the only way to train one. And let me just begin by saying, I am absolutely pro tool but there are “trainers” here who have no idea how to properly introduce an e collar and how to use one. Because stimming the dog constantly while simultaneously saying a command that they’re not yet familiar with until they shut down is NOT how you train. My dog (who is now a fully trained service animal thanks to MYSELF) did the board and train with some guy named Timothy years ago but I am STILL so angry with what I saw. STILL!! And this was 8 days into the 2 week board and train so god knows how he was treating my dog for those 8 days. Obviously I pulled him out immediately after but in addition to money wasted, he could’ve ruined my dog’s temperament and his love for training for good if I hadn’t acted like I did. Do not use this facility unless you just have a really tough skinned dog, there’s really no other way I can put it lol. I will never forgive myself for using this facility and for trusting Timothy with my dog.
