Off Leash K9 Training Lexington

This is a long review, but please read it. My late husband and I rescued a male GSD, at about 4-5 mths old. He had basically been ignored and left to fend for himself in an outdoor kennel with multiple other GSD, older/bigger than him. So scared, timid and thin when we got him, he would rather run and hide than deal w/people. My husband put ALOT of time and attention into this dog, and they were super bonded. He liked me, but Andy was his human---then we lost Andy in Dec 2022, and this poor dog grieved so much and so hard for him. Took quite awhile for him to decide I was now his person, and in the process, a lot of the training Andy had done w/him, got lost in the grief and just all of us figuring out how to move on. I researched several dog training venue's before I chose OLK9. I scheduled the 2 week board and train for Wolfie, I decided to send my other dog also, as I thought he would feel more comfortable if his little sis was with him. THIS WAS THE VERY BEST DECISION I HAVE MADE .....we picked up the dogs yesterday, and the change in Wolfie is AMAZING. He walks with me, sits, stays, just so much calmer in just 2 weeks. Chip, our trainer, was so informative over the 2 weeks, we got videos, messages, photos. Several calls from him as well. He was just FANTASTIC. I can't say enough good things about Chip, Veronica and the other folks I spoke too. Spend the money, listen to them for your at home work you need to do.....you will not regret it.

Pat has been so amazing with Athena! Off Leash is very lucky to have a trainer like him. We wanted the best for Athena and that is exactly what we got. It is very important to me to know who I am trusting my fur baby with so I am always a little cautious (and sometimes overprotective), but from day one I could see Pat's love and respect for animals. Just by being around Pat and seeing how well he interacts with Athena, I knew she was safe under his care and guidance. Training is more than just teaching obedience. Training is also very important to help us keep our animals safe, and it was very comforting to know that I could trust him to provide the best training possible. We are extremely happy with his work and I highly recommend requesting Pat when scheduling your training sessions!

Chip is extremely knowledgeable and did an amazing job training our golden retriever! The training is worth every penny. We did a train and board program for two weeks. This included lots of command work in multiple environments to help eliminate distraction and strengthen focus. Chip updated us very often with pictures, videos, and calls to ease our minds that our dog was happy and well. At the end of the two weeks, Chip taught us in person, all of the commands as well as how to maintain the training of our dog. This helped us get some exposure to what right looks like, so we can continue good practices with our dog. I cannot emphasize enough how good this training is, and how good the trainer is. I would highly recommend anyone who’s wants good dog training to use this program.
