Off Leash K9 Training Lexington

I can't believe these guys don't have more reviews!! Jackie and Pat are both Top-tier trainers and people. Jackie is my primary trainer and is perfect. She is extremely patient with both me and my dog. My wife was so impressed with Jackie, that I was given the go-ahead for the Advanced Package before we finished the Basic Package. Pat is great as well. He spent a lot of time explaining everything about their training program. He went on to help me understand my Working Line Shepherd vs my past Show Line Shepherds. On top of that, I usually arrive at the facility about 45 minutes early due to Chase getting car sick. And if Pat's there he takes the time to work with Chase until his scheduled time. It's usually a 10-15min session but it has worked wonders with Chase's confidence meeting people. Both Jackie and Pat have said if I needed help they were a phone call away. I believe it. If you are looking for Dog Training that is proven to be gentle and successful by people who are knowledgeable, kind, and personable then you have found it. You would be hard-pressed to find better trainers than Jackie and Pat. Thank guys!!!

My fiancé and I got our first puppy together and with her being a German Shepherd I wanted to make sure she was very obedient as I’m a smaller female. Our trainer Jackie was very understanding of this as she has a German Shepherd as well! Jackie was very flexible and able to work around our schedules! She is very friendly and was an amazing trainer!! We all loved her, including Maeve my German Shepherd! I would highly recommend Off- Leash K-9 and Jackie’s services to anyone who is in need!

UPDATE: In addition to our now 5 1/2 yr old Bella, we adopted another 2-year-old German Shepherd Dog in early December. Fonzie was another "wild thing!" Fonzie and Bella hit off in a big way. However, walking them often proved to be (literally) a painful experience, with Bella and Fonzie showing all manner of unacceptable behavior, hard pulling, leash aggression towards other dogs, going bat$hit crazy towards outside cats and squirrels. We decided to use Off-Leash K9 again, this time sending Fonzie to Pat Murray for a 2-week board and train. What a difference that made! Fonzie returned with incredible manners! I get compliments from our neighbors when I walk them in our neighborhood and park. Fonzie does not react to outdoor cats, other dogs, and yes - I can talk him down from squirrels! During Fonzie's training Pat kept us up to date throughout with videos that explained Fonzie's training and progress. He explained how the training methods that he now uses have been greatly updated since he worked with Bella and I. Treats and verbal markers are now used. I did not want Bella to "ruin" Fonzie's training when he returned, so I started working with her using the approach Pat demonstrated in the videos he sent to me. She responded very well! Always a leash puller - she now is a loose leash dog, walks in off leash heel (I do this in our neighborhood park), and has even made friends with a 6mo old Border Collie! Thank you, Pat Murray, and OLK9! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Our trainer Patrick Murray was incredible with our then 6mo old 65lb GSD puppy! Bella was an out-of-control wild child, and we were very concerned if we could get her behavior (especially jumping on people) under control before our grandchildren arrived in June. We met with Patrick each week for 8 weeks working through various commands. I would then work with Bella 2-3x daily on each command and behavior. The difference was amazing! Even our neighbors have commented on how much better she is on our walks through the neighborhood. She was perfect with our grandkids! If you have a "wild thing that makes your heart sing" call these people!

Pat M. is absolutely amazing. We adopted our "2" year old German Shepherd Dog from a rescue. He was pulled off the streets in Louisville, not fixed or chipped. No History, but very loving and needy. Showed signs of possible neck abuse. He was very strong and my husband had a hard time walking him with our 5 year old GSD. He pulled so hard and it made my husband's arm hurt. We sent him to Pat for 2 week board and train. Best decision ever. We got daily updates and videos. We now have a pet that walks loose lead and we have control of a 2 year old who is exuberant! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 training. Chip did an awesome job training Patches. Her behavior has tremendously transformed. I was considering rehoming Patches. She had a lot of behavioral issues; running from me, act crazy around other dogs, leash pulling, jump six foot fences and more. She loved people but was real hyper when they come around and wanted to jump and stuff. After being with Chip in the two week boarding program Patches behavior has improved. She’s not easily distracted. She learned a lot of commands and my favorite is that she comes to me when I say come. No more running away. She also is also more loving that we understand one another. Chip sent video updates during the two weeks of boarding. I knew she was happy because she was wagging her tail all the time.
