Hey there! Unfortunately, we do not offer water rescue training and am unsure if any local training companies do. Maybe check out "Pup n Iron", I know they do some specialty training.

Emma was amazing from the first phone call to when we picked up our sweet puppy. She was detailed on her training plan, what to expect, and how to continue Cora’s learning process into her adult years. We received daily and even multiple times a day updates, pictures and videos on how Cora was progressing. She answered any questions we had quickly. I can’t recommend the services enough! Any other dogs that come into our home will be off leash k9 dogs too.

We sent our 1 year old Lab/husky mix to trainer Emma for the 2 week old board/train, and I could not even begin to explain my gratitude for the services we received! Our dog, Moose, started with absolutely no recall, would bark and jump NONSTOP, and yank our arms out of the socket when walking. After 2 weeks with Emma, he’s like a brand new dog. Still rambunctious and full of energy, but his recall and leash etiquette is INCREDIBLE. Emma updates you throughout the 2 week period, so you can see the progress your dog makes daily. Even after bringing him home, where he was reunited with our 6 month old puppy and trainer Emma no where to be found, he still responded to all the commands. I absolutely recommend training, specifically the board and train whole heartedly. It was the best decision we could have made for our dog.

We can’t say enough good things about Robert at Off Leash K9 Training in Fredericksburg. From the very start, he was communicative, patient, and genuinely loving toward our sensitive dog, Stella, and that’s not something you take for granted when you’re trusting someone with a dog who needs extra care.
What we appreciated most is that he doesn’t use a cookie-cutter approach. He assessed Stella’s individual personality and needs and tailored her training accordingly. She’s a pretty anxious dog from being abandoned as a puppy, so noises on the street are extra scary for her… and Robert recognized that from the start.
Every single evening, we received photos, videos, and updates showing her comfort level, and how she was adapting to commands. It made an otherwise nerve-wracking experience feel so reassuring… We couldn’t believe her progress reports, even within the first few days!
At pickup, Robert led an in-depth training session with us that was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and super easy to follow. Taking Stella out onto city streets right away, we felt noticeably more confident handling her with the commands and the e-collar. (No more pulling or zig-zags!!) We are so proud of her.
By the end of our session, Robert had answered every question thoroughly and made it clear he was always available for follow-up… he even asked us to stay in touch and share updates on Stella’s progress. He emphasized that consistency at home is the most important part of the whole process, and we left feeling fully equipped to do exactly that. We have the tools and the confidence to carry it forward.
If you’re looking for a trainer who brings real expertise, genuine care, and a truly individualized approach (especially for dogs who carry a little extra history with them) Robert is the one!!

My wife and I adopted an older Foxhound a little less than a year ago. We suspect she was used as a breeding dog, possibly abused, and then just discarded when she was no longer wanted. She has never been a violent dog, but was always misbehaving. She chewed through multiple remotes, harnesses, dog beds and anything else she could get her mouth on. Putting a leash on her was always an ordeal, and taking her outside was an equally difficult task. We knew she had a big heart but she could not focus or behave herself.
We decided to get her trained and couldn’t be happier with the results. She no longer needs constant supervision and she is a much more confident dog. She can relax on the couch with us, sits politely when putting a leash on her, doesn’t pull when walking her, and can behave herself when we are preparing and eating dinner. Overall we feel she is a much happier dog and will have a happier life, and we’re a lot happier having her around.
