Hey there! Unfortunately, we do not offer water rescue training and am unsure if any local training companies do. Maybe check out "Pup n Iron", I know they do some specialty training. -Joe

Really our top goals with K-9 off leash was to make pepper a good housemate in all regards. Leash training. No jumping. No peeing on guests when they arrive. Independence. Not having to be right up on me. Independence inside, outside, on/off the leash. I do not want my pup to cause contention in the house and she was on the verge of that. Abby, her trainer, has such a spirit of compassion and competence. She has high standards. Don’t let her good attitude and communication skills fool you. Your pup will get down to business when they are in Abby’s care. Abby is prompt to send end-of-day update videos, pictures, and any notes from the day. I was respectful of their time together and did not interrupt training—even though we exchanged a few texts to clarify goals. Plus! K9 maintains the relationship for life at no additional cost. The cost is pennies on the dollar for the enrichment you receive for your practical life and the whole family can enjoy your pup. The key is continuing the learning skills after boarding.

We cannot even begin to Thank OLK9 and trainer Abby for all she did with our sweet, energetic, and crazy Goosey. We tried doing things on our own but just couldn't get it to stick. From pre-drop off calls, to daily updates and videos, and to pick up owner training. It may sound crazy but I already feel 100x more confident and better. I think even Goose was a little sad to leave Abby. I feel okay knowing it won't always be perfect, but we have a great foundation.

I cannot recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Fredericksburg enough! I left my puppy, Hank, with Robert for the two-week board and train program, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Throughout the two weeks, Robert kept me updated with regular videos, pictures, and progress reports, so I always knew how Hank was doing. He was honest about Hank’s strengths and the areas that still needed work, which I really appreciated. Instead of making unrealistic promises, Robert clearly explained what I needed to continue working on at home and gave me the tools and confidence to help Hank succeed. He was also very encouraging and reassured me that, as long as I continue doing my part, Hank will keep improving and grow into an excellent dog. I’ve only had Hank back for one day, and the difference is already incredible. He’s listening so much better, enjoys working, and is eager to learn. It’s obvious that Robert truly cares about both the dogs he trains and their owners’ long-term success. Thank you, Robert, for all of your hard work and dedication! If you’re considering dog training, I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Fredericksburg.
