Hey there! Unfortunately, we do not offer water rescue training and am unsure if any local training companies do. Maybe check out "Pup n Iron", I know they do some specialty training. -Joe

When we were looking for training for Apollo, we got several recommendations for Off Leash. Enrolling him in the program was very easy, and we were paired with a great trainer, Abby! She was always very patient, informative, and professional. She not only trained Apollo, but my husband and I as well! She started with the basic commands, then concentrated on the behaviors we were having trouble with, which were strong leash pulling and being very reactive to people and other dogs. Thanks to Abby, Apollo's behavior has improved tremendously and we are very grateful for her training and advice! She's the best and Apollo loved seeing her every week!

Working with Emma has been truly life-changing for our family. Our Pocket Bully, Zoey, previously struggled with severe anxiety, reactivity, and aggression, and our six-month-old XL Bully, Cooper, needed basic manners and clearer boundaries. After their two-week board-and-train with Emma, the transformation was remarkable. Zoey is now calm, confident, and completely off medication, and both dogs follow commands, respect boundaries, and interact safely -even sharing toys and playing together, which had never happened before. Emma's expertise, patience, and clear communication made all the difference. She provided consistent updates, helpful guidance, and thoughtful explanations throughout the process. Leo is every bit the spirited, fun-loving German Shepherd - a whirlwind of high energy wrapped in unwavering loyalty. Under Colby's guidance, he learned far more than the basics: polite door manners, a reliable come command, a solid down, respectful off, confident off and on leash heel work, and the ability to settle on his place for extended stretches. When my husband and I picked Leo up on 2/17/26, Colby walked us through each command with patience and clarity, making sure we understood exactly how Leo had been trained. It was easy to see the results. Leo came home healthy, joyful, and carrying himself with calm confidence of a well-mannered family companion - the kind of dog who feels like he's always belonged. Maple, June and myself had a great experience with Tēgan Lewis at OffLeash K9 training of Fredericksburg. Maple came in her two week board and train as a rescue that needed a little TLC and Tēgan gave her the proper care and leadership needed for her to excel at home. Tēgan also did the same for client based training for my other dog June who had some issues with her manners and anxiety at home. With Tēgan’s assistance June has learned her manners and has improved dramatically with her confidence. The support that was given was definitely needed in my household and I’m thankful to Offleash K9 training of Fredericksburg and Tēgan for always being prompt in answering questions to assist with the betterment of my pups. My family and I decided to send our 8 month old German Shepherd mix (Gambit) for the 2 week board and train course with trainer Colby and we are MORE than pleased with the results. From the very 1st day that we received our daily update video we could not believe how much progress was made and immediately knew we made the correct decision. At the end of the 2 week course when we got our pup back we were in shock at how much he learned. He is almost a new dog in the best way possible. At this point it seems that my wife and I need more discipline and training than Gambit does so that we can ensure we are reinforces everything Colby was able to instill in him in just 2 weeks. I cannot stress enough how easy the process was, from communication with Colby during training to pickup and drop off. If anyone is on the fence this is your sign, OK9 goes above and beyond when it comes to training and caring for your 4 legged family members.
