Off Leash K9 Training, Chicago

Carson and Off Leash K9 Training changed mine and my dogs life very much so for the better. I can’t express how much of a joy it has been picking up my dog after the 2 week boarding program and taking him on walks, to the store, and to the dog park. There is no pulling on a leash, most of the time I don’t even have him on a leash because he listens so well! He no longer runs up to other dogs and people, and when I need him to sit/down/place it’s automatic. At most I just have to hit a little buzz on his new e-collar that’s super easy to use and he is fully in command mode. I can see my dogs stress is way down and his love tank is much fuller because I can easily walk him and play with him without the stress of him running off to another dog or person and frightening them with his overly friendly 100lb Bernese energy! I have already recommended Carson to multiple of my other doggy parent/friends and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for bringing back the joy to my life with my pup!

Mathew was training my 8month old German Shepherd in the beginning of February. It’s been a month since Athena’s board and train and she has been behaving so well in public and at home! I have been able to bring her to family parties and have her full undivided attention and have her listen to my commands with the e-collar if necessary. At first I was nervous to leave her for two weeks but Matthew really made the whole situation less scary by always texting me updates so I know my baby was always safe and was having fun! With the basic commands he taught my dog I am now able to bring her anywhere and have her sit next to me and not react to any distractions such as toddlers running around or other animals. Mathew also offered to keep her overnight, which an affordable charge, if I ever go on vacation in the future which is amazing because Athena already made a bond with him and I definitely trust him to take care of my dog over a doggy care! Mathew did an amazing job training Athena and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Athena is still the same happy, energetic, and loving dog that she was before the training but now I am able to bring her out in public and feel safe with her. Thank you Mathew!

I highly Recommend the 2 Week board and train. I was hesitant at first bc it’s was a bit pricey….however it was well worth it!!!! My 3lb chihuahua was running the house and we needed to do something. He was possessive and aggressive, resource-gaurding ME! He didnt know how to “come” “sit” or anything. Alyssa took an unruly chihuahua and made him a little gentlemen. I was amazed that it could actually be done. He can come, sit, stay, heel and walk off the leash…..yes… OFF THE LEASH. Frankie can now have the quality of life he deserves and go “bye-byes” even more. Alyssa was so attentive with him and he really loved her which made being apart for 2 weeks a LOT easier. Frankie is a new little man, turning 2 in April and ready for all the adventures. 💙

Huge shout out to Carson and the Off Leash family. I have a beautiful, high energy Australian Shepherd, Cali, who was food motivated, easily distracted, pulled extremely hard on the leash, and was difficult to calm down once overly excited. She lunged at bike riders, skateboarders, and picked up and ate everything off the ground. We signed up for the 2-week boarding program and were stunned with how well she adjusted to Carson and the training program. She now follows through with all her commands and the e-collar has been very helpful to us and Cali. There’s so much dog content on social media that it’s hard to replicate training tips when dogs and their personalities are so different. I highly recommend Off Leash as their trainers are very knowledgeable and truly hold your hand through every step of the way.

By far the worst experience I have ever had with a trainer. I did the 2 week board and train for both dogs and upon getting my first dog back, realized what a bad situation it was and took my other dog back early. I thought after nearly a year, I would calm down, but I am beyond angry about our experience. My small dog I found out didn’t even hit the weight limit for his Ecollar. They didn’t even ask his weight or likely care. Both of my Dogs both came back to me more reactive and fearful towards things they had never reacted to before. I ended up with a huge bill for my first dog, who had inflammation (constant reverse breathing) in her throat and a potential infection. Thankfully antibiotics and anti inflammatories helped after several days. I showed my veterinarian how tight they had to call her and he told me it was definitely too tight and causing problems. She had lost weight and smelled like death when she came home to us. The only way they have any control over the dog is with shocking them constantly When we discussed with them over the phone, what we were looking for they seem to be on the same page. They had mentioned that they do employ the use of the collars, but it is not the main training. This was after we discussed real behavioral training. If you want this kind of training, look at an E collar manual. That is basically what we received except they want you to have the E collar on at all times with two transmitters on a walk with two dogs. It’s absolutely a joke. They don’t even own a dog which should have been my first red flag. Do your homework before going with this group. And if you do it anyway, be there for the training. They didn’t reach out to us once after we left in the past year it is a money making business I have finally found an amazing behavioral trainer who I have through California. The difference is night and day.
