Our dog Murphy recently competed a 2 week board and train with OLK9 Charlottesville. We had a great experience and highly recommend trainer Jacob! He did a wonderful job with our 6 year old rescue pup. Murphy is a Staffy-mix, and can be very sensitive - Jacob was very patient with her and had excellent communication with us. About a week before Murphy went with Jacob for training he contacted us to learn what our goals were, and then he was able to tailor the lesson plan to meet our needs. We looked forward to the daily photos and videos throughout the 2 weeks. The training for my husband and I at the end of the 2 weeks was very comprehensive, so we can continue to help Murphy thrive. We appreciated that Murphy learned a lot, but was also in a loving environment. Murphy’s birthday happened to fall during her training and they even threw her a little party! I would recommend OLK9 to all of my friends and family.

Tyla trained our stubborn 17 month old Bernadoodle and we could not be happier. The puppy is happy and well behaved. The humans are very happy. Tyla is superb at communicating with people as well as dogs. We got exciting reports all the way through the training and the follow up has been great. Lauren trained our 7 month old standard poodle, who we are planning to train eventually as a hearing dog. We are so grateful we were paired with such a dynamic and capable trainer. We LOVE her energy!! She is clearly very experienced and understands dogs intuitively. She explains concepts well and helped us understand what we needed to do to continue his training at home. Our dog was dramatically better when he came home after 2 weeks with her -- he was very responsive, with much less countersurfing/jumping on people/pulling on the leash. I really appreciated her follow up and I feel like she is totally there for us as we learn to apply his training at home. This experience very much exceeded our expectations and I would hands down recommend Off Leash to others!
