Off Leash K9 Training

We could not be happier with our experience. Our lab/pitbull mix (Tito) is a completely different dog since the training. We also became better handlers and are more confident as a result of what we learned from Jacqueline. Tito went through 3 weeks of training with Jacqueline in March 2020. At the time, he was 2.5 years old and had become very difficult to handle outside. He would lunge and bark at other dogs, and was very reactive to birds, squirrels, and sometimes people. Outside just seemed like a place where he was very uncomfortable. After doing some research regarding e-collars we knew we needed an expert like Jacqueline. We felt very comfortable with him from the start and she has continued to exceed all expectations. Jacqueline’s training set a strong foundation for our dog and properly introduced the e-collar. Today (9 months later), we can confidently walk our dog outside on a leash or off leash. Although he will still make the occasional lounge or bark at another dog we are much more prepared on how to handle those encounters and can correct without using the leash. What I appreciate most is we continue to communicate with Jacqueline, as our own training and Tito’s never stops. She walks us through videos we share with her and provides feedback.

I did a ton of research on different trainers in the area, and after talking to Jacqueline I knew she was the perfect fit. It took months of rescheduling and postponing school because of some of my dog's medical complications, but he finally made it to Jacqueline at the end of September (forever grateful that Jacqueline didn't make an issue of the complications and completely rolled with it and accommodated us). My dog is not an easy dog to live with nor to work with, so I knew that any progress Jacqueline could make with him I would be forever grateful, and I am. Some of dogs issues included him just biting my arms non-stop and attacking me (in a playful manner but it HURT), poor leash walking, leash biting, jumping/nipping during greetings, blatant disobedience). He was with her for 3 weeks and we have gone for 4 follow-ups so far. Implementing her training strategies, re-learning how to properly interact with your dog and carrying out the training is an ongoing effort, but it is so worth it. It is so obvious that Jacqueline is 100% passionate about her work, our/your dogs, and making sure you and the dogs are completely comfortable and successful with their training. For example, we were having trouble one night and I sent her some videos and she called me immediately on FaceTime and stayed with us until we were doing it right. She makes sure you understand the e-collar completely, use of non-verbal communication and body language to communicate with your dog. I am 100% comfortable with my decision to use Jacqueline and continue this training process. Highly recommend!!

Jackie is a blessing. You can tell she loves what she does and knows what she’s doing! We’re from NYC. Our two year old doodle responded very aggressively to scooters and skateboards. He also would sometime respond poorly to other dogs. We sent him to Jackie for 3 weeks and our dog is now so well behaved. He understands the e collar and Jackie did such a great job setting the foundation on sit/stay and walking by his parent. We appreciate Jackie so much. Or as we call her, Aunt Jackie! Don’t think twice, send your dog to her!!!

Our Bernedoodle puppy recently "graduated" from the two-week board and train program with Jacqueline at Off Leash K9 Training NJ. Jacqueline is truly outstanding - a dedicated professional who is committed to excellence and durable results. In addition to the many outstanding comments already posted in reviews here I want to highlight some aspects of our experience that illustrate the quality and value of Jacqueline's company. 1. I dropped our pup off with Jacqueline on a Wednesday and assumed I'd pick her up two weeks later. Jacqueline was very clear that she would take as long as needed for the training to be completed. Turned out our pup needed a little more time than most to pick everything up so we we ended up picking her up 3.5 weeks after drop off. To me, this shows how much pride Jacqueline has in the quality of her work and that she is not going to take any shortcuts in properly training each dog. 2. The results have been amazing and I'd best summarize the situation as follows: Before training with Jacqueline, I used to go on walks with our dog. After training, she goes on walks with me. It's a complete night and day change from before training. 3. Customers should be aware (and Jacqueline will thoroughly explain) that human training is as important as canine training. When you pick your dog up from Jacqueline, they've basically graduated from Harvard. There's a learning curve that we humans have to climb after the dog training ends so we can master using the e-collar. The key here is to be patient, follow Jacqueline's instructions, and attend the included follow up sessions. Jacqueline and Off Leash K9 Training NJ are amazing and I highly recommend contacting her if you have a dog and are looking for a high quality, thorough, and durable dog training experience.

I owe Off Leash K9 a boatload of gratitude, and must thank Jacqueline Zinetti for the work she did with my wife and I. She trained our unruly 1 year old ridgeback with love, care, and compassion. She helped calm us down when our pup was away for 3 weeks. More importantly, Jacqueline Zinetti helped educate us in regards to the intricacies of collar training. Being both responsive and caring, with a no nonsense edge, Jacqueline created an environment where we all felt comfortable. She was accessible and responsive on all fronts and did a wonderful job training Leo! I would recommend Off Leash K9 Training Northern NJ to anyone, she is pure class.
