FirstBarkWe have a 4 month old maltipoo and Sophie has done a great job teaching her and us the basics of training. Sophie has a great way of communicating with both animals and humans!!!!! I would highly recommend her

Northshore Canine Academy is a family owned and operated dog training, boarding and daycare located in Slidell, LA. NCA is approximately 30 miles north of New Orleans, LA, and offers a unique experience for your pet! Boarding, daycare and training are done in the comfort of our family home, which is located just outside of town on a private, dead-ended road. NCA is nestled on 1.5 wooded, privacy-fenced acres and offers your pet a true feeling of relaxation while receiving around-the-clock care! Here at NCA, we are professional trainers who have extensive experience working with dogs of all breeds, temperaments and sizes, and strive to treat your pet as a member of our own family! Your pet is our top priority at NCA!

We have a mixed bull mastiff/pit bull named Rosie, who was a little stubborn and sassy. After her first 2 week visit to Northshore Canine Academy, she was a TOTALLY different dog! When she was brought home to us, we didn't make contact with her for over 30 minutes. Amber was teaching us how to train her and Rosie kept focus the entire time. They're not enough words to describe Amber and Jimmy. Professional and caring are the 1st two that come to mind. Rosie has continued her training and has done excellent. We are now sending her back for her next two weeks training and cannot wait to see wait to see the next level of progress she retains! Do not look any further than Northshore Canine Academy, they will meet your every need for every level of training your furry family members. They treat each and every animal like their own!

Initially, Northshore Canine Academy boarded and trained our nine month old female lab for eight weeks and did an amazing job. Not only are they extremely professional and run a clean, comforting facility, they are also very responsive and provided continuous updates on our lab's training. Northshore Canine Academy's training techniques are very detailed and show a lot of care for the dogs. Our neighbors comment often how well behaved our lab is since her training especially when walking in the evenings off leash. We have since utilized Northshore Canine Academy for their boarding services for both our labs (the female is now 1 year old and our male is 8 years old) while on vacation. Again, no complaints on their amazing service plus our dogs had fun too. I would highly recommend Northshore Canine Academy.
