Northshore Canine Academy

After searching for a trainer for 6 months I finally talked to Amber. I knew she wasn't going to pawn the training off on another trainer without the experience like so many others I talked to. My aussiedoodle was a nervous wreck and I couldn't walk him on a leash without worry of him knocking me down or getting hurt. Amber and her team not only trained him but more importantly gave him confidence and eased his anxiety. When I picked him up from 4 week boarded training I could see how much happier he was when anxiety wasn't taking over his sweet personality. She also gave us the tools we need to continue working with him. It has been over a year since she trained him but will still answer questions we have. We are forever grateful to the team at Northshore Canine Academy.

Our doodle went to NCA for boarded training 3 years ago and I am still very impressed with Northshore Canine Academy’s dedication and love for my dog and her human parents. I just called them with a concern about a change my dog is going through and Amber (NCA OWNER) not only willingly, but also cared and still remembers my dog enough to help me and offered a follow up. My husband and I have a very high drive, intelligent German Shepherd who is full of personality. At 3 months old, Sofie responded very poorly to pressure. She also stole items around the house, and displayed aggressiveness toward other dogs and even people. NCA literally treated her like family while she was there and called me to check on her multiple times after Sofie left their care. They are great dog trainers and great people who love ALL dogs. Our dog completed two programs with NCA. She has come such a long way and she’s my best friend now. NCA helped with Sofie's reactivity, taught her manners, and most importantly, they educated us on how to best handle our dog and channel her energy. Amber has been my rock through this whole process and is always there when I need advice about Sofie. I highly recommend sending your dog to NCA for any problem! There is a review on here about someone saying their dog came back from training and was afraid of their “place”. I had the complete opposite experience when my dog came home from training; she loves her place and looking forward to a treat because NCA associated it with her the right way. I would not listen to that review. I don’t even think the person had a dog that was trained by NCA.

I highly recommend Northshore canine academy! They truly care about their clients and the animals in their care. Our dog went for boarded training for being aggressive with anyone he didn’t know after we took him in as a stray. He was abused and pretty messed up. He learned so much it was incredible. Amber still responds to questions 3 years later. I totally trust their judgement and care and think they are brilliant!
