Lisa Lucas has helped dogs and their humans thrive since 2005 through compassionate, positive reinforcement dog training. As both a professional dog trainer and intuitive animal communicator, she offers private in-home dog training throughout Spokane and Stevens Counties, plus group dog training classes at her cozy, forest-surrounded facility in the Deer Park area (Clayton). She also offers Animal Communication Services to a global clientele. Her boarding school for dogs provides immersive training and safe off-leash play in secure, fenced areas. Whether you're working on manners, behavior issues, an AKC title, or want to have a deeper, intuitive conversation with your pet - you've come to the right place!

I was looking for a trainer to work with my adolescent puppy. My dogs name is Wednesday. She is a great dog and I knew she will be an amazing companion for me if I just could have help training. I was not born knowing how to do this. I found Lisa and explained what I needed. Lisa is amazing trainer and she also accommodated my time-line do to traveling for work, by doing so she fit me in and worked with Wednesday and I for seven one on one lessons on what was supposed to be her planned days off. At the end of our week working together Wednesday showed vast improvement and Lisa set us up with the tools to work and grow ❤ together. I have a greater understanding Wednesday's body language and what she is saying in dog language. I know how to communicate with her that is clear and rewarding. I can't thank Lisa enough for all her time dedicated to us and setting Wednesday and I up for success. I would tell anyone to go to Northern tails if they wanted to have training. Lisa has a wealth of knowledge to share and anyone would benefit from chosing Lisa to train.
My dog Athena and I just had the last session of the head start class. Lisa is very knowledgeable and helpful with her lessons. She helped Athena and I deal with some anxiety issues, and give tools to keep Athena's mind working.
